The Wirral (Birkenhead peninsula)

 

Version 1.0 - The Wirral's now looking good, open the city squares around Hoylake and submerged sandbanks are visible (also a channel of deep water right next to the coast - not accurate, but I'm leaving it as it's good for ferries!). There's a slight problem in this version on the Liverpool side - when it renders on my machine there's a grid pattern in the terrain along the city edges - no idea why as it's not in the grayscale jpeg.

 

Anyone who downloads - can you let me know if the Liverpool problem appears on your machine. Thanks.

Installed map last night. Can't see any grid pattern on my machine. Liverpool terrain seems higher than in your original map, with Wirral looking a nice lush green compared to Liverpool. Its not a problem though and assume it was intended. Many thanks...Well done.

If you just push the map a bit further east so that it incorporates all of Runcorn and Widnes (it just has the western extremities) the you will get a 10, unitl then a 9.
