About This File
Cape Bridgewater is in the south-western corner of Victoria, Australia. The nearest major town is Portland, just to the east of this map. Most of the land is used for farming, with several (VERY) small villages (Bridgewater, Tarragal, Cashmore). It is quite a hilly region, but there are expanses of flat land present to the north-east. There is also (supposedly) a national park taking up a large portion of the central northern area. The lowlands to the north-west are all sand-dunes, but you can build on them anyway. Have fun!
Newly Added:
For more 'realism', Cape Bridgewater is actually on a list of sites for development of wind farms. Therefore, early cities should probably use this form of power if they want a challenge.
In terms of where major routes should go, Melbourne (the capital) and Portland (the biggest nearby town) are both to the east; hence, most highways/freeways should head in that direction. Of course, you can just build what you want!
PS. The config.bmp file included is for my computer, which can't handle very big cities, so feel free to replace the host of small red squares with some blue ones. This region was copied by hand from a contour map with 10m intervals, so it may not be absolutely accurate.
