About This File

Paris, city of light! My first upload is based on an actual post-hausmannian building (about 1900), which is located in the Quartier Latin (Vth arrondissement), on the Boulevard Saint-Germain. It's not so easy to integrate this kind of buildings in a modern city, but if you like it and are patient, I will soon supply other Parisian BATS (see screenshots). Some of you have perhaps seen them on the official site (username eblaser), but I prefer to share it in a more interactive way. A bientôt! Sorry 4 the French accent... Porkie.

Well Mastrobrace, I agree with U concerning European buildings in the game. I think that the problem is simple: traditional european style means nothing at all. Buildings are completely different in France, UK, Italy, Spain, Scandinavia, etc...

The only solution for Maxis would be to sell small local ad-ons sets(for a few specific big capitals), but I'm sure that the Marketing Division at Maxis has already checked out the wHole thing and said: NO WAY. babies! At least, we've got the BAT... Porkie

All of your work is wonderful. They don't really fit in my American-style cities, but perhaps I will have to build a French Quarter. Magnificent work.

Are you going to upload more buildings into this set? Or is this it? So far I've counted seven (I think), will there be anymore? I've dl the entire Paris set, you are like 10 times better than Maxis. The detail on these is insane! :D

Hello, Porkie. Just wanted to let you know I've downloaded your entire Paris set and (like Xannepan's set) I will veyr much enjoy using them. Your artistry -- no, creativity; skills; enlightenment; divine appointment -- is just stunning! Great work.
