May 27, 2004: NEW UPDATE:

 

A conflict was discovered between Trolca's Original Replacement Engines/Cabooses and Gizmo's Maxis Train Car Props.dat. So I have redone the SimCity Rail lot. It now uses Gizmo's ST-Member-TrainCarProps-V8.dat. While I was at it, I fixed a few other graphical things on both lots. (Pretty much just moved some props around). I have also changed the screenshot above to show the CP Rail Query.

 

Just overwrite the old dat files with these new ones.

Both lots can be used separately or at the same time. Both lots are Transit Enabled and require Rush Hour. The CP Rail station has a custom query and uses CP Rail train car props. The SimCity Rail station uses the standard freight query and ST-Member-TrainCarProps-V8. Both stations use the defaults for monthly cost. (10 monthly cost,)

 

Capacity is 4,000 tons.

I also used Havoc's Billboard Volume 3. The Bat files i used are included in the dat files.

Forgot to add that this is my first attempt at doing a lot from beginning to end. Till now i've played around with the lot editor from time to time. So if there are any bugs/problems/ways to do things better with the lot let me know.

Thanks for the prop change. However, I did find another bug. The lot prevents passenger rail traffic from passing through. I can't confirm whether it also blocks pass-thru freight, though freight does originate. Either way, it's safely used as a freight outpost and not on the main line.

I found the problem... you're missing some reps in your transit switch exemplar. you have IN: truck to freight train, and OUT: freight train to freight train. you need IN: freight train to freight train, IN: passenger train to passenger train, and OUT: passenger train to passenger train.

because you have a fun little street loop loading area for trucks, i'd add more transit exemplars: one for truck in to truck, and one for truck out to truck. it may increase the truck traffic and automata on the lot. if you need a HEX list of exemplars, PM me, though qbert2's tutorial is great.

Thanks for the info, but figured that out last night after about 5 hours of testing LOL. What I discovered though, is that my lot isn't the only one. I'm posting a message in the modding general forum about what i found.

This lot is phenomenal! I love it on my Sim City. Can you make a rail lot which uses the MKT (Katy) railroad engines and cars?
