About This File

This is my first BAT; Atomium, one of Belgiums most famous landmarks. It's modelled in Rhino and imported to GMAX. I know the texturing isn't perfect yet, but I'm still playing around with the settings in GMAX. Maybe I'll post an updated version...

Hope you like it, comments are appreciated.

Nice... I've only seen it coming into Zaventem (Brussels airport). Of course, most of the time it's too cloudy to see :) I'm from Belgium and I've never seen it. I guess I've been away for too long, but at least my SimCitzens can see it now! Great job!

Just a few remarks: the Belgian flag on the upper sphere is missing, the windows, stairs and ground could be more detailed. But it remains a master piece. Congratulations. Belgium Rules!

that's true, missing windows and stairs on the side ;) Don't think so that there's a flag upon the highest sphere...

Awesome!! I've been in Brussels and you can just about see this landmark from everywhere where there's a clear view. One of the most impressinve vistas is from the observation ledge just outside the Palais de Justice. I also drove up right under it and went to a theater just around the corner.

amai seg, da ziet er goed uit :D Ik zou het althans ni kunnen! People, when you visit Belgium, make sure you visit this landmark. It was built in 1958, and represents an iron molecule. It has been renovated some years ago. The building style inside the nine balls is futuristic. The top ball has a restaurant, lovely to eat something there! Allez manne, Belgi
