Psst... mayor... over here! We want to make a deal. You let us have the ol' Barron Block, and we'll keep plenty of them troublemakers busy... yeah, real busy. Sounds good? Excellent.
First, the rich fled the city's downtown for their green, expensively-watered suburbs. Then the big factories downtown sold out to transnationals, who sent the jobs overseas. Now there's not much of anyone shopping at the Barron Block. But now there's plenty of work to be done...
