Completed in 1928 the Museum of the City of New York is one of the most elegant museums in the city and looks like a Colonial mansion sitting on the corner of Fifth Avenue and 104th Street. The museum has five major exhibits all devoted to the history of New York from the days of Dutch settlement to the present day metropolis.
