About This File

CLOCKTOWER BOOKS:

Mr. Glamazon, 15 July 2007

EDIT:  There were a few issues with round one!  After all of your helpful feedback, I think I've gotten it right (and if not, then we'll fix it again!).

What Changed:

ALL the surfaces are textured, there is no more radioactive grass!  And the window frames on the upper belfry match the rest of the structure.

There are some tiny details that look like they aren't textured, but they are!  The doors have red wood planks and those little blue things on the buttress piers are just copper textured ledges.  They are too tiny to actually look modified.

The Landscaping is different.

The props are more alive.  There are people and jump-ropers, look out for those!

What HASN'T Changed:

It still looks squeaky clean. I know that bugged some people, but I think ultimately it feels more restored that way.

Enclosed in the .zip file is a ploppable version of Clocktower Books and a ReadMe with everything you need to know!   (and this time there should be everything you need to get the job done!)

Thanks for all of the great feedback, keep it coming!

Here's the scoop:

Built in 1875, Our Lady of the Salvation brought a quirky, albeit elegant, touch of neo-gothic revival to the small hamlet of Homer. Residents were devastated when the cathedral was gutted in 1964 when a fire broke out on the choir balcony. Longtime residents Sue and Susy Supersim, conjoined twins and readers from an early age, bought the building shell and singlehandedly revived the cathedral. Christened Clocktower Books by the new owners, the local shop made an instant connection with the residents of Homer. In 1987, after the infectious coffee-house bug swept America, the third story belfry was sold to Dickens & Charles Coffee Company Ltd. Homer, now a thriving village, has seen its fair share of booms and busts, but the one constant in this city is a cup of tea on the roof, enjoying a new magazine or novel.

Clocktower Books is 55 metres tall, or 180.5 feet, at its highest point. Let the golden spire grace your favourite street corner! The lot is fully landscaped with a myriad of trees, shrubs, and perennials! Also, this lot is completely environmentally friendly! Low-flush toilettes, abundant shrubbery, and a recycling-only policy appeal to the environmentalist in all of us! Keep your eyes out for more Mr. Glamazon releases!

Enjoy!
