This plugin contains fence props, suitable for use with the Fenced GLR Puzzle Pieces. Hope someone makes some fenced heavy rail pieces (or draggable network) too. The pack contains 11 new fence props (in both straight and diagonal forms) as well as some datfiles using already existing (older) fence props.
Props are implemented as prop-families. However, the purpose of the prop-family implementation was not variety, but the ability to use multiple fence props in the same city at the same time. It is well known that with a prop-family implementation, the game selects the props to be displayed randomly; in our case (multiple fence props) this would result in an odd mix of different fences. Thus, a mechanism that forces the game to select specific props has been devised. SC4 does not allow to select the props ingame, so this is achieved by installing/uninstalling optional plugins.
The props are are about 3 meters tall, which is the same as the SC4 stonewalls, and on par with the game's scale, if you take into account that sims are... 2.5 meters tall!
The Readme contains detail instructions on how to install the plugin properly, as well as on how to lay truck and select the desired fence props.
Dependencies
Optional, JRJ Seawalls V4, needed only if you want to use the wire fence prop by Jeronij.
* May 31, 2007: A conflict between the "Curved Tube" and the "Wooden" sets, which did not allow to use both sets at the same time, has been fixed. You just have to replace the affected plugins. Don't need to bulldoze any of your existing Fenced GLR tiles.
