About This File
This is the region the Columbus terrain mod was originally made for. THIS IS AN SC4TERRAFORMER FILE. You will need SC4Terraformer to use this map.
This real-life terrain is located at the junction of the Stillwater and Yellowstone Rivers in south-central Montana, USA. The region is hilly, but not mountainous. The Lewis and Clark expedition stopped here in 1806, on their return from the Pacific coast, to carve canoes out of some large Cottonwood trees for their long float back down the Yellowstone and Missouri Rivers. Today, it is the site of the town of Columbus, Montana.
To install this region:
1. If you don't already have SC4Terraformer, download it here and follow the install instructions.
2. Unzip this file.
3. Move the "Columbus" folder and its contents to your "My Documents\Simcity4\Regions" folder.
4. Run SC4Terraformer and select the "Columbus" region.
5. In "Global Tools", select "Import Image"
6. Navigate to the "My Documents\Simcity4\Regions\Columbus" folder and choose "Columbus.SC4M"
7. Save and Exit SC4Terraformer
8. Run SimCity and load the Columbus region. The region will be in the SC4Terraformer colors at first. As you open and save each city, the colors return to normal.
The picture shows how the region look using the Columbus Terrain Mod, but you don't have to use any mods if you don't want to.
