Here's a personal idea of how New York's region will be in 2050.
In fact, I was inspired by creator's 2050 lots and I came up to that region.
Most of the ice of Antarctica has melted and the sea level raised, disappearing all the seaside cities, like New York.
Your mission as a mayor is to give back life to that deserted region and try to do what the previous mayors did - to make such a large city.
There is enough flat room for a big city to develop.
The region is a regular one (16x16 km), composed of 16 large cities.
YOU NEED THE SC4 TERRAFORMER v09.c TO RUN THE REGION!!!
Instructions:
1: Download the zip file and unzip its files in a specific place in your computer.
2: In your "regions" folder (My Documents) create a new region.
3: From the zip copy the config.bmp and replace the old one in your regions.
4: Open the new region with your SC4 TF.
5: In the "Global Tools" menu select "Import Image" and browse my greyscale file named "NewYorkFlood.png". Then click OK.
6: When the region appears, click File, Save. The region will be saved in the game. Enjoy!!!
***The colours won't change unless you enter and save each city, one by one.***
