About This File
Whoa! It's a huge mountain!(z0mg!)
Third map in the series "South Side of the Sky" (sp. thanks, Yes!) which features maps of northern, mountainous terrains.
It is gigantic, and includes a rising plain around it. There are alsorivers with high banks and sloping beaches which you can build ferriesacross. Please note: To build ferries, you may need to lay a stretch ofstreet straight, parallel to the water line, and then bulldoze it. Thentry to lay the base of the ferry station on or near that flat area.
The config supplied seems to make the map look prettiest to the eye, but, unlike Montcalm, it is by no means the only config file you canuse.
Finally-- build that ski resort!
Other 'South Side of the Sky' Maps:
01: Edgeton Cliffs
02: Montcalm
Note to the curious: This map is a test! The west quarter was createdby making steps of grayscale and smearing it until it made a reasonablemountainside, while the east quarter was first a radial gradient, whichwas smeared/smudged to be less smooth. Which side looks better? Dunno.Maybe the wind just wore the mountain unevenly.
The 'ferry beaches' are of three types: 1. low land flats (top and bottom of east river)
2. gradients (west river) 3. smudges (mostly the rest of the beaches.)It was difficult to make a beach that by default allowed theconstruction of a ferry.
Oh, BTW, to quote mr. RiverCocytus:
"Observe carefully! To render this map you will need the following, and I quote:
"You'll need the Terrain Climate Mod by Mayspacy to render this map & many others properly. Extract this file "ImageImportModWithTerrainMax3300mOnly" to your plugins folder."
The water is, I believe 'peg_stream' -- water designed to match the color of Pegasus' streams. "
Use snowcapped_lower for the full snowy-ness.
Peace in the middle east, yo.
