About This File
Areyou tired of BATs with obnoxious stats that will force you to buildhundreds of WTE plants or cause other buildings to dilapidate due totheir excessive pollution, etc? Or libraries that will make the EQgraph jump straight to 200?
This package of adjusted stats files will tune more than 550 STEX downloads (only growable RCI and some civic buildings; no plops!) from all categories to sensible stats. It's the work of ~half a year the way I had to do it (using the reader).
In addition, you get a spreadsheet (readable with anything that canread Excel 5.0/95 or better) where you can see all original andadjusted stats. You can also use these stats as a reference to makeyour own modifications. With the new version of SC4Tool, this will be asnap. I made all modifications with the reader... *sigh*
Some important things you should know:
- This is not really suitable for absolute newbies. (no offenseintended; this package just has a pretty high "SimCity Geek" factor!)
- This is not a "one-click-all-installed" download. It requires manual work - and time.
- You shouldn't be shy to read a few lines if you want to use this.
ABOUT THE FILES
Inside the ZIP, the files are sorted by category (such as R$$, CO$$$, I-M, Civic (Educational) etc.).
Inside each category, you will find a number of folder that are namedaccording to the following scheme: "Building name (BATter name)".(Example: "Blockbuster Video (SimGoober)"
Inside each folder, you will find files you need to copy into thesub-folder inside your main plugins folder where the respectivebuilding is installed. This means you need to know where you got yourstuff!
Once you have the files where they belong, your buildings will have the new stats when you load the game for the next time.
No RCI building needs to be bulldozed or taken out of the plugins folder!
However, with civic buildings, youwill experience problems (budget sliders jumping to 100% when theyshouldn't, etc.) unless you bulldoze the BAT in question first, save& exit, add the new stats file and then load your city and rebuildthe BAT. That should get rid of the problem. Sorry I forgot to add this info directly and thanks for reporting.
More details can be found in the included readme file. Read it, or you may screw up.
ABOUT THE SPREADHEET
The spreadsheet is divided into several tables, one table for each building category.
Inside each table, you will see every building of that I adjusted, completely with building name, author name, occupant/resident number, pollution stats (air/water/garbage), consumption stats (power/water),worth, value (=income) and tilesets the building will grow in. Thebuildings are sorted by occupant/resident number, i.e. the table startswith the smallest one (top) and ends with the biggest one (bottom).
Each building occupies two lines. The first one lists all originalstats. The second line (printed in bold) lists all the new stats Iadjusted.
In case of some buildings, I changed the occupantnumber to a new value. These buildings are marked with a colouredbackground. There are also some notes next to some buildings which addsome auxiliary explanation and hints.
You will find some background information about the stats I chose in the enclosed readme file as well.

I hope the more experienced and 'involved' users among you will findthis helpful. I think it might provide a good starter set to 'repair'some badly tuned buildings and get some insight i
