Moncton? Moncton! No collateral damage so far. This nut is targeting RCMP officers. Currently, three dead, two injured. I've been in Moncton, and I can't believe this can happen there.

The Fredericton Federal Building is a Government of Canada Building in Fredericton, New Brunswick. The building occupies a prominent corner in Downtown Fredericton at the intersection of Queen and Regent Streets and currently provides office space for Human Resources and Skills Development Canada. The Federal Building was constructed in 1950 and its "stripped classical" style is apparent from its symmetrical design, third floor setback, extruded entranceway, limestone construction and relative lack of ornate detailing. The window insets also harken back to classical styles as their regular spacing and height creates an almost column like appearance. The Federal Building's interior has been modernized over the years, but the lobby still retains its authentic 1950s green Vitrolite tiles. The Federal Building is architecturally significant because it exemplifies a transition in architecture from classical forms to the new International style. A few short years after its construction, the Canadian government embraced modernity, making the Fredericton Federal Building one of the last classical buildings constructed by the federal government. The Fredericton Federal Building comes to SimCity as a 4x3 growable and 4x3 plopable. Four dependencies which, if you've used any of my other bats, you probably already have. BSC Essentials (mandatory, query) BSC Mega Props CP Vol01 (optional, trees and cars) BSC Texture Pack Cycledogg Vol 1 (mandatory, textures) BSC Textures Vol02 (mandatory, textures)- 13 Comments

The Saint John Customs Building is a federal government office building in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada. The building is located in historic Uptown Saint John and is bound by Prince William, Water and Duke Streets. The building is actually the third Customs Building to grace the Saint John waterfront. The first Customs Building was lost, along with the rest of Saint John, in the Great Fire of 1877. After the fire, a bigger and better Customs Building was constructed. The second Customs Building was an architectural masterpiece that boasted ornate stone carvings, a large central dome and two towers. Sadly, in an act of architectural vandalism, it was demolished and was replaced with the current Customs Building in the late 1950s. All that remains of the second Customs Building is part of the massive stone foundation, which is being used as a retaining wall in the property's parking lot. The modern Customs Building provides space for 11 different federal departments and agencies: Veteran Affairs Canada, Public Works and Government Services Canada, Industry Canada, Citizenship and Immigration, Canada Border Services Agency, Royal Canadian Mounted Police, Department of National Defence, Environment Canada, Health Canada, Canadian Food Inspection Agency and Transport Canada. The Customs Building comes to SC4 as a growable and plopable on a 4x3 lot. Three dependencies: BSC Essentials (mandatory, query) BSC Mega Props CP Vol01 (optional, planter, cars) BSC Texture Pack Cycledogg Vol 1 (mandatory, overlay textures)- 18 Comments

The Imperial Theatre has been a major landmark in Saint John, New Brunswick since 1913. The Neo-classical Theatre was built to revitalize and consolidate entertainment in Saint John. Opening on the eve of the First World War, the building was quickly offered up to serve the War Effort as a recruiting and fundraising centre. The Imperial struggled during and after the War, running large deficits until 1929 when it was purchased by Famous Players. Under Famous Players, the Imperial was renamed the Capitol and was converted into a movie theatre. With the eventual rise of television, however, the Silver Screen's golden age came to an end and the Imperial was closed. In 1957, the Theatre was given to the Full Gospel Assembly. For the next twenty-five years, the Theatre was used as a church. The Gospel Assembly proved unable to carry the cost of maintaining the old building and by the early 1980s was looking to sell. A grassroots movement was organized to save the old Theatre and by 1984, after two years of fundraising, a local group had collected the needed $1,000,000 to buy the building. Over the next 11 years, under local ownership, a modern addition was added and the Theatre's interiors and front facade were restored to their former glory. The Imperial's original name was resurrected and the building reopened in 1994 to once again serve the stage (for the first time in sixty-five years). The Imperial is a special building in that it represents the glory days of theatre, before movies and television. It is unique in that it has survived where many others like it have been lost, that it was saved by the people of Saint John and has now been finally put back to use for the purpose that it was originally built for. The Imperial Theatre is a National Historic Site and a registered heritage property under federal and provincial Historic Places Initiatives. This bat recreates the front of the Imperial and includes some elements of how the building looked historically. I did not recreate the modern addition that was added during the 1980s restoration because I think it's really ugly and doesn't fit what is otherwise a great building. So, if you're ever in Saint John, you'll only recognize the front. The Imperial comes as 2x3 grow and plop and provides 116 Cs$$$ jobs. There are two dependencies, BSC Essentials (mandatory) and BSC MEGA Props - SG Vol 01.dat (barrels and boxes).- 6 Comments

Mel's Tea Room is a cafe/restaurant in Sackville, New Brunswick. Mel's is a long standing Sackville institution and hasn't changed significantlyin decades. Today it's a popular hang-out for Mount Allison University students. It shares the building with a locally owned Sears affilate that sells and repairs appliances. Mel's Tea Room fits w2w and is compatible with JBSimio's small-town set. There are two lots; a growable Cs$$ and a plop Cs$$. Mel's is part of my Atlantic Canada bat set, which are bats from the smaller cities and towns around the region. A growable and a plop are included in this upload. See the readme for complete details.- 16 Comments

The St. Leonard Government of Canada Building (GOCB) is a small federal office building in St. Leonard, New Brunswick. It was built in 1939 as a post office, but was abandoned by Canada Post in the 1980s. After the departure of Canada Post, the building was given a new lease on life and was extensively renovated to accomodate the Department of Fisheries and Oceans. DFO fisheries officers have operated from the small building ever since. The St. Leonard GOCB is part of my collection of bats from small-town Atantic Canada. It isn't quite w2w (narrow alley on each side) and fits with JBSimo's small-town set in style. There is a plop and a growable lot included in this upload. See the readme for complete details.- 16 Comments
