  1. What Music are you listening to right now?

"Knights of Cydonia" by MUSE If you haven't seen the music video for this song yet, get over to YouTube and watch it right now. RIGHT NOW. I mean it. Why are you still reading this post? Go watch that video!
  2. The Moose Factory (virtual Bar & Grill)

Sparkling white grape juice, on the rocks s'il vous plait. Saint John actually had Canada Day fireworks this year, on Canada Day; It's the first year I remember where they weren't postponed/cancelled due to fog. I wasn't there (I could hear them from my house), but a schoolmate of mine took some nice pictures. This one is my favourite. It's a PNG, so here's the link if you're using IE. On top of that, tomorrow morning I'm off for a one-month long foray into the world of linguistics in New Brunswick's most favoured important city. The Université de Moncton holds a program every summer where students from across New Brunswick get to travel to the University, stay in dorms, visit local cultural and historic sites, and improve their French language skills. I'm really looking forward to it.
  3. The Leaving / Returning Thread

On Sunday, I'll be heading out to Moncton for a month-long camp at the Université de Moncton geared toward students wishing to improve their French language skills. I'm unsure about internet access, and if I do end up here, expect my posts to be en Français. I shall be back home at the end of July.
  4. Who is not Going to Post After You Game

Spot on. beebs isn't paying attention, is he?
  5. Who is not Going to Post After You Game

    No. 'Twont be cityhawk.
  6. The Simtropolis Closet

Ah, the Toronto Pride Parade. I saw a segment about it on the news today and the first thing that came to my mind was "Zelgadis!" Parades aren't my cup of tea, but it's great to see people who are proud of who they are.
  7. Post Your Picture Here!

These were taken about a week and a half ago, on the last day of exams. A bunch of us headed to a nearby restaurant to party it up since we were all finished. If you can't see the above picture, click here. ^ Me (on the left) and a friend of mine. I'm not sure what I'm looking at, or why I'm making such a funny face. If you can't see the above picture, click here. ^ It's a strawberry smoothie, I swear.
  8. Picture war!

Lack of support for the Green Party causes global temperatures to rise.
  9. Desktop.. Everyone has one of these!

Great desktops! I found a nice picture of the Toronto skyline, and decided to make it my background. As soon as I set a new desktop background, I always rearrange my icons so the subject of the picture isn't blocked.
  10. ACE Airport Pack

This pack is looking great! Just to clarify, the terminal entrance piece is the only one that's airport-enabled, right? Also, speaking from experience, make sure you make a backup of any developed cities you decide to build a custom airport in. I can still remember what happened with the last set of terminals I downloaded...
  11. Who is not Going to Post After You Game

Correct! Cityhawk won't post after me.
  12. Hmm, have you tried letting the simulator run for a few sim months and then checking for lighting again? I find it sometimes takes a while in the game for ploppable BATs to light up, even with the Maxis patch. And this probably goes without saying, but the lots do need to be powered (just making sure). I love the flexibility of the modular terminals, and with all the bugs ironed out, SWAP is running fine on my end. Thanks once again, xiziz, for your persistence in trying to fix the problems people were having, even when you were stumped yourself. That is, in my opinion, one of the best qulities a custom content provider can have.
  13. The SimTropolis House of Worship

But why did the angels strike the men blind? Were the gay men blinded simply because they were gay, or was it because they were trying to break into a house in order to "get some"? The circumstances around this incident, at least to me, seem to point to the latter reason.
  14. Wood County - Rebirth

Yay! Wood County's back! (again ) You never give up, do you TMS? All the finer, because the new new Duchati is looking better than ever. Great work on those interchanges, and I still absolutely love your avenue/GLR hybrids like in 47.09.
  15. Longest trip by land (without sleep); Longest trip by bus: 12 hours from Saint John, New Brunswick to Ottawa, Ontario for a Middle School trip. Short stops in Edmundston, NB; Levis, QC; and Montreal. Longest trip by land (with sleep); Longest trip by train: 28ish hours from Saint John, NB to London, Ontario (including a 2 hour bus trip from Saint John to Moncton to catch the train, and a delay of several hours in Montreal and again outside of Cornwall due to a freight train derailment). Longest trip by car: 19ish driving hours from Saint John, NB to Grand Bend, Ontario. Slept at a hotel just outside of Montreal (the entire journey takes about 1 1/2 days, but that's including time spent at the hotel) We make this trip every summer. Longest trip by air: 2.5ish hours on a direct flight from Saint John, NB to Toronto. Longest trip by boat: 10-15 minutes across the Kennebecasis River on the Millidgeville-Kingston Peninsula Ferry.

My school's bathrooms are decent enough, the only thing that annoys me is that there's almost never any paper towel.

Seriously though, have a great trip. And be sure to tell us all about it when you return!
  20. Who is not Going to Post After You Game

You're right. Sloppet is too occupied with the Chat and won't post after me. (I hope)
  21. Who is not Going to Post After You Game

Correct! DuskTrooper certianly isn't going to post after me.
  22. Thinking of Moving?

You can live in Saint John, New Brunswick, where: It's always too cold, too hot, or foggy. Mostly foggy. Half the economy is owned by the Irving family. Every other business is either closing down or relocating to Moncton. All the signs are bilingual, but nobody actually speaks French. The river is afraid of the harbour's water quality and consequently flows upstream sometimes.
  23. Goobers Nuts

SimGoober, you're by far the nuttiest BATter around.
  24. ^ Alpha maps aside, that's some awesome work! RHW is still my favourite modd, and you're still my favourite modder.
