This is disappointing to read. I'll just wait for Spore and stick with Sim City 4. I mean I like to "pretend" and invent different kinds of ethinc groups and neighborhoods for my cities and regions and was hoping that such a feature could be developed for SC:5. However I don't like that it seems they've stripped out everything that makes Sim City...well...Sim City. I've been playing Sim City since 1993. I'm young, yeah, in my mid 20s and probably the demographic they want to catch but as a gamer, I'm not looking for cutsey. I'm the type of gamer that wants to be made to think which is why I play things like Sim City and Civilization and yes even The Sims 2 and Flight Simulators. Gamers that like simulation and strategy games like complexity because these types of games are designed to make that ole' brain go "hmmmm." I'll reserve further judgement until I see the article that's coming out next month but I'll jsut say that I'm really disappointed so far and I'll probably not buy it. And if it's really bad, I may not even buy Spore, which I've been salivating over for a year now.

these suburbs are amazing... in the region i've been developing (pics as soon as I finish troubleshooting why my SC4 crashes to desktop---it's most likely due to my dual core system) all my suburbs are just spawl. Sprawl all over the place. good work to everyone in this thread.

thanks for the region view! As I keep saying, I really like Beothuk Island. I'd live there...it seems like a laid back quiet place to live. What town's best to live in? Maybe you could show us the neighborhoods
