Alright, we got a lot of pictures here... City overview More neighbourhoods are appearing around town A new suburb closer to the mountains is under way And to finish, a random picture of a parking lot downtown

100 years have passed since the last entry. Holston has since expanded, fallen into an economic depression, was almost abandoned completely, but in recent years more people have been moving there, and it is experiencing somewhat of an urban revival. Newer houses are being built, old factories are being repurposed as offices, the city is doing well. And now, it is going through another boom, but hopefully this one will stick. A back alley near the edge of town The old and the new The city zoning contractors have been working much faster than the street designers...

The year is 1867. Andrew Johnson is the sitting president of these United States of America. Nebraska is admitted full statehood. The U.S. has just bought Alaska from the Russians. Westward Expansion is still full throttle. Yes, disease and poverty run rampant still, but the Industrial Revolution has begun a few decades prior. New industries and shops are being built, and businesses are prospering. It is the era of American Reconstruction. Enter Holston: A small but promising boom town with much to offer. Though the skies are filled with smog and the streets are dirty potholed, what goes on behind the large glass windows and the bricks upon bricks is extraordinary. Holston might not look like much now, but it will become a large, prosperous city with scholars and businessmen aplenty. And now without further ado, some photographs of the great city herself, in all her glory. Thanks guys and hope you enjoyed it! More shall come soon.

Piedra Verde - A New Island Territory
MAW replied to Chappington's topic in Cities: Skylines City Journals
I agree with Scarton, and one reason I like this series so much is the natural growth, but also just to have a C:S CJ. I've noticed that pretty much all the C:S CJs that i followed have either gone away or just remained inactive for the past 6 months/year. Don't get me wrong, I love and enjoy CS4, but Cities Skylines is my preferred city building game. And since mine no longer works, I just really appreciate such a nicely built C:S CJ. -

Alright! Been waiting too long for this... Absolutely speechless. Amazing. Thank you for not slipping away like I did. Obviously 10 days late but this just made my day. Go Piedra Verde! Hope it makes 20K by next time. -

What are those buildings in the last 3 pictures? They look amazing. -
Sooooo... While trying to upgrade my storage, my computer somehow got wiped of all my files, including a bunch of screenshots that I had lined up for upcoming entries. I still have the savegame, and will continue the CJ, but it will take a slightly different direction. Thank you all, especially @Linoa06, @kelistmac, @BruceTedder, @RandyE, and @bobolee And here is a teaser image for the new CJ!

I'm trying to focus more on that kind of stuff next entry. There will be a whole display of cliff roads, small streams, and other things of that nature, but no warning signs unfortunately... Also PLT is being annoying, so maybe no fences for a bit

Hello everybody! Here are some images of recent development in Kanaka, as well as just some shots of the raw wilderness of northern Canada. So enjoy! 5 new families have move in to the so-called "downtown" of Kanaka, and the church has never been fuller! (Cringing really badly at that tree behind the church) A random house way out there. And some shots of the area: Expansive power lines go on for miles and miles out here without a house... On the regional road looking towards Kanaka. This road is one of the more dangerous in the world. It would nearly impossible for help to come for you for days, or even weeks in some places. It is also known for its extremely stressful hairpin turns. Don't fall off! Anyway that's it, but I hope you enjoyed it!

Hmmm.... Needs more Dragon Parades. Really good, reminds me of Chinatown in Montreal.
