  1. The New Hague

Same here, I haven't seen many CJs that are really dense and that's how I build so I thought I'd put that one up
  2. New Auckland

Oooh! Yay, I used to live in NZ, Auckland Pride! Hope to see more soon, great start
  3. The New Hague

    Thanks
  4. The New Hague

Ooh, that's reminded me, I still haven't put New Hampshire up. This first one is an overview (no bridges): Here are the tunnel entrances: Next, here are two pics of downtown: And lastly, the terraced East Bank: Enjoy, I have to go to an art class now, so I won't be back for about four hours.
  5. The New Hague

Oh no, the main industrial zone for New Tampa is on the other bank of the river while the other zone is up by the airport and the commercial and industrial are seperated by residential, so I don't think there's any RIGHT next to the towers. Thanks for your comments, I appreciate it
  6. The New Hague

Thanks so much - sorry, I didn't realise you had a New Holland, but the New Hague is because I see the Hague as a sprawling metropolis over many vast waterways and also, every single city is a 'new' something, like New Malmo, New Miami, New Geneva and New Tokyo. So I figured it would fit if I had the region name as a 'new' name as well. And in response to your question, yes I have been to the Hague and I love it!
  7. Favourite city

Auckland all the way! I used to live in Wellington which I think is even better - it is veryd dense and very hilly and has the city right next to nature:
  8. The New Hague

    Thank you very much
  9. The New Hague

Cheers, okay, I'll put the next ones into JPG, sorry about that everyone. Here are the first few pictures of New Tampa, my megapolis: Firstly, here's the main commercial centre. I don't know what to call it yet - any ideas? Here's my first Large International Airport, Sebrat the Great Memorial Airfield: This next one is the main business area, the Flower District: Next, we have the western midtown, Chinatown: Also, the original civic centre (please excuse my spelling, it's how they spell it in England and New Zealand) and the final overview: width=1279 border=0> Enjoy the update, more news as it arrives... EDIT: sorry for getting kind of angry at everyone who viewed it but didn't reply, I'm not a morning person and I haven't been sleeping well, so I'll try and keep my hair on while managing this CJ
  10. The New Hague

For those who are actually interested, the population has recently jumped to nearly 3,000,000 and I have a new megapolis with 333,000 residents and 621,000 commercial employees. I'll post the pictures later today - I have to go to work now, ciao
  11. The New Hague

Well, even though nobody seems to like this journal, I will continue with an update. I am very sorry it is not of great quality but I would appreciate feedback. Here is New Geneva, a large commercial centre. We have a full scope, Petri Park and the commercial district: Hope you enjoy this one more than the original
  12. Mediterranean Rowhomes updated

Ab fab, groovy, I just like so much!
  13. 14 Story Brutalist Hospital

Cool - doesn't actually stick out - I really like it, just perfect for a big city
  14. Favourite city

Yeah, Buffalo has a lot of cool architecture
  15. Commuter Rail

Shanghai just got a metro system about 10 years ago, but our commuter rail is OK, nothing on anything like the BART though. Still, I refuse to drive from Pudong all the way to the Bund to go to work, so I take the metro because the traffic in Shanghai is just s***
  16. Favourite city

Cool, I suppose I should contribute as well: 1 Budapest, Hungary (the fine architecture, hills and mansions). 2 Prague, Czech Republic (ever seen cubist apartments? Go to the Jewish Quarter). 3 Paris, France (despite the enormous number of homeless and growing pollution). 4 Shanghai, China (my hometown, YAY!) 5 New York, USA (the buildings, the river and the general excitement) 6 Tokyo, Japan (mostly because of the huge ammount of people and the fun) 7 Wellington, NZ (it looks like Hong Kong but is about 1/10 the size and is very pretty) 8 Auckland, NZ (the hills, the villas and the tall buildings and good architecture) 9 Sydney, Australia (the lovely colonial architecture and modern architecture, also the water) 10 Melbourne, Australia (the food, the shopping, the street plan and the architecture old and new) That's my top ten, but I also love just about all the others you've mentioned. Also, Rio ranks about 15th but I thought that seeing as nobody had mentioned it, I should. Lively, crazy and really, really pretty. Well, apart from the favelas but they are even less depressing than seeing gypsies asleep at the steps to Notre Dame or whatever. Yes, even though Paris ranks 3rd, I would like it more if my visit there hadn't been punctuated with various attempts of pickpocketing, one of which succeeded. They really need to toughen up on gypsies etc. there...
  17. Highway Planning and Architecture

I reckon Swiss highways are the best - they have created glass sound barriers to protect the terraced vineyards and they also have them built into the hillside above Lake Geneva. Truly spectacular and a joy to drive down.
  18. vda Amsterdam Damrak 31 32 Dam Hotel

Gorgeous, just perfect for my little European city
  19. vda Amsterdam Beursstraat 21 23

    Truly amazing
  20. JinMao Tower

Excuse me, I don't believe that ANY lot, no matter how terrible, deserves to be called crap. That is insulting and unnecessary and I thought that this website co-operated well until I read the post deaming it 'crap'. Shame on you Bluthmania. Having said that, the lot is not great.
  21. Favourite city

Well tough because this one was posted first and is in the right forum
  22. Favourite city

Oh, Holland, yes it is very pretty
  23. Favourite city

Cool, I've never heard of Delft, where is it? I'll look for it on Google Image Search
  24. Victorian City Park

I can't find the mega pack. could you please post a link? Other than the fact that the paths don't come out right, it is really good!
  25. European Subway parking Fixed

I'm not having any problems with it, but it's too bland, it stands out like a sore thumb and I would rather use the old carpark
