The Cossutta Building is a 3x3 building. What's next ? : a new 2x2 corner. Level 3 buildings. Add some level 2. I dont want to do others level 1 because their lifetime is really short. Maybe a new 3x3 for a level 1, not more. Are the players using a lot the control level up mod ? Did they stop buildings on the level one ? Why ?

France is not Paris, Paris is not France. Ahah. About the Ligne 6, there is something you will like a lot : the Bir Hakeim Bridge. You have to search on the Internet others pictures. Its amazing. Here are some old photos of this bridge (also cald "Viaduc de Passy") : http://www.cparama.com/forum/viaduc-de-passy-t14071-40.html I could kill to have these pillars, the platform, the lamps... the whole is a masterpiece.
  3. Yeap, of course. Is it possible to create one mod which allows the player to chose the pillars, the tracks, and others elements ? A "compose your rail set yourself" mod ? Could be great.

You want a Cotsco : a supermarket .... or a Cotsco Supermarket ? About the supermarket and the motel, you are right, its not my cup of thea. Someone will probably do these buildings. Be patient. They are essential componants of the daily american landscape, i guess (even if i'm never been in america, south, central or north.) I wont do these buildings myself, I'm working on older buildings. maybe in a few months ! About the footprint : I actually have some 3x3 buildings. I have to do 3x4. I dont like the 4x4 buildings (for the low density) because it spawns a lot, a lot. It's sad (and its why the cities are boring : a few sizes available, and even less, because of the game's choices !!!)

If you need some inspiration : there are bridges and pillars. http://www.inventaires-ferroviaires.fr/pweb/typo.htm
  6. Absolutely fantastic work ! Congratulations Is it possible to have tracks without the electric lines ? (I guess yes. Could be added in the "chose your pillars mod")

It's my topic. I do what I want. If you have a global view of what modders are doing and what is missing, if you propose buildings, if you give advices, it's helpfull.

Oh, yes, your are right. They are archetypal buildings, for sure. I'm not sure we could standardize the production of these big buildings. They also have to look different ; color and height caracteristics are probably not enough. Change the rythm or the height of the windows, you change the building a lot more than if you change the color only. But by doing this you have to recreate a big part of your diffuse map, and your whole model. I have a craftsman spirit, obviously. I'm not again the idea. I wont do it, personnally. We have time, in fact.

The Broadway Chambers is a "non-skyscraping-highrise architecture" ? What do you need ? the building was build between 1899 and 1900, it's not a real prototypal skyscraper. Beaux-Arts buildings are skyscrapers.

Sad, isn't it? Makes me really upset when I read about historical buildings being demolished. Mentality can change with time, but they wont if people dont care. What are you doing to save these buildings ? Associations are, by far, the BEST way to save some buildings. You - a citizen - can do a lot of things. Politics are just politics... but if people want to preserve historic buildings, politics will follow. (or you are in a banana republic like my beautiful country, France).

So the Little Singer building or the Odd Fellows' Hall... mmm. Make both ! What do you think about the Broadway Chambers Building ? I'm in love since a while.
  12. Attercap Buildings

You are doing the Vanderbilt Mansion ?
  13. Attercap Buildings

They did'nt care about these buildings. Historical preservation of buildings in the US is a bit specific : in Europe, common heritage is more important than the private property. It's not true in the US, which has a different history. If you own the building, you can do more or less what you want with it - at least if you compare with a french historic building ! There are also more confidents about "the march of progress." It encourages demolitions. But these buildings have been destroyed many years ago. Historical preservation in the US begans during the sixties, with the demolition of the Pennsylvania Train Station, NY. You can read Jane Jacobs if you are interested

Hi everyone, Has someone a picture of a building which could be a commercial level 3 ? (1850-1950 if possible.) Just to have some additionnal ideas. thanks !
  15. Attercap Buildings

Thanks ! Ok for the Madison. I will keep it in lvl 2 HD Commercial. Darf, I wont transform the main facade. It has been to long and difficult to create the building. Never again Maybe just desaturate a bit.
  16. You should create growable gardens - like an house, without the house. It will increase the footprint diversity ; gardens are always the same size and it's why the suburbs are really boring in this game. Different kitchen garden (1x4) or a pond (1x4 too) ... ! They will grow like others houses and add some space. Did you use only 1x2, 1x3 or 1x4 footprint ? I will do some classical american houses, but they have to be compatible with your work.

Two new bats ! The Baltazar Building : http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=545142171 The Madison Building. It's a high density level two. But definitely a bit too small. Maybe a high density level 1 ? Or a low density level 3 ? What do you think ? The Madison is an old building : the file is heavy. So,take care ! http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=544771242

I'm glad you like my buildings. It's a motivating thanking !

Are these buildings some examples of your future production... or just a "couple of hours distraction" ? I'm a bit selfish. I want you in the us building team. What's next ? Yellow roofs are quite unusual, it's true. But it contrasts nicely with the grey facade !
  20. Hey ! What is your steam locomotive model ? The two square/rectangular windows in front of the locomotive are really unusual. It's looks like a spider. Too many eyes It's quite fun because it's look like a mix between an american and a austrian locomotive. Is this a TK3 from Finland ? https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Tk3_1170_Karjaalla_(2).jpg They have a looooot of common points. But no squared windows on the TK3. EDIT : I'm glad you are doing a steam engine. You will enter in the history of modding if you create fonctionnal "connectings rods" Could be sooooo good. EDIT again : some of these TK3 series have squared windows. Like the TK3-1136. I'm not fan of these windows, but the locomotive is really nice by the way. Thank you !

Thanks a lot ! I didnt see my buildings "in group" before. Hope you like them.
  22. Attercap Buildings

Released ! I really like this one. The normal map is awesome (It's the first good normal map I'm doing I guess ) The Cossutta Building : http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=539869221 Oh, I released a small building a few weeks ago. A before Daylight Classic Screen The Pittsburgh Building : http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=530886807 Dont forget to rate both of them

A 3x6 building is more easy to use, because it is compatible with all of your buildings (and mine) : Brooklyn Theme allows you to create 6 tiles-deep blocks, as you have a lot of Xx3 tiles buildings. 5 tiles-deep blocks seems a bit harder to use if you want to create a grid city.

    Thanks. I had god teachers.
