I used to have the problem when I had a ATI video card. For idiotic reasons, the game would not run in hardware acceleration, and go back to software, with all the settings on low. That probably isn't the problem here. N_O_Body, I certainly can see why SC4 runs so slowly on mine. I think I have about 3,000 files in my Plugins folder. I've got 512MB ram, probably the lowest around here that anybody will run the game with. I can't figure out what could fix the problem, other than backing up your cities, plugins, and reinstalling the game. Stranger ideas have worked.

I've got a street map of St. Louis (locally printed Wunnenberg maps). I might (whenever get enough time), try to recreate St. Louis with it. It would definitely take at least as long as you have on Edmonton, and Edmonton is a Chicago in comparision to St. Louis (and County).

The newspaper is a amazing looking. As Simbourgeois, put it, your CJ is not just a CJ, but an art form. Chaumont, has a pulse, almost a life of its own. Amazing work!

I prefer grids. I love Chicago for it. My hometown of St. Louis has them too. I haven't gotten the hang of doing non-grid suburban style streets in SC4, but I experimenting. Freeform: London Grid: Chicago

Well, he's better than me. I would go stir crazy trying to recreate St. Louis. We have way too many streets in the City, that could be reaslistically shown, and the County is a bit of an urban disaster area. Very curvy streets. So, TheJerseyDevil73 is doing great on this CJ. I'm enjoying it, and I'll try not to gripe about how bad the St. Louis Blues are playing.

If Eureka's explosive growth continues it's going to be like Raleigh-Durham, or Minneapolis-St. Paul. Your most recent post illustrates the gross size of the region Eureka is in. As Eureka is not just little under half the size of Bend, I'm pretty sure that you will see a challenge of the dominance of Bend, very similarly to the growth of St. Louis County vs. the non-growth of the City of St. Louis. This yarn gets more exciting by the post, and I'm glued to it. I've said it before, and I'll say it again: This CJ is a masterpiece.(actually, I haven't, but I still mean it).

I love well organized, clean urban design. This is it. Good job.

Another exciting update to Eureka. Can't wait to see what else is in store for Bend's slightly less smaller cousin. Equinox... It doesn't seem to get any better than Melanie, huh?

Well, you've been added to my favorite CJ's List. Further, I enjoyed your election coverage graphics. Very well done on the City Government organization Chart, as well as the vote tally set up. I also am glad the Hiro won.

I really liked the the most recent update to your CJ. If you'll notice my signature area has your CJ listed. I do have a question. I notice that you have parking lots (1x1 tile) off of streets and roads. What are they called? Are they on the STEX?

I've been following this CJ for a while. This is my first post in it. You've really outdone yourself. The attention to detail is stunning.

I am really enjoying this CJ. I eagerly await the design for the Stadium project. Bend is based on the template of America's best low-sprawl cities, such as New York and Chicago. Keep this one going...you've got another fan here.

There are several things that would eliminate sprawl in American cities: Establishment of iron-clad growth boundaries; Drastic reduction and/or elimination of duplicitous local governments, instead amalgamation into the central city; Federal and Local governments to deny petitions to build additional highways, unless 75% of those monies are spent on mass transit, and mass transit only. The other 25% could be used on highways, if necessary; Establishment of minimum density levels established by a centralized zoning authority. I'm aware that some of these ideas would be very unpopular in such a region as St. Louis, but we would be a better city for it. One of the cornerstones of suburban sprawl is irresponsible, and sometimes unfeasible existence of local governments. These units of government routinely create zoning and layouts that are designed to discourage the use of mass transit, bike usage, walking, multi-ethnic communities, and intelligent design. As such, St. Louis has 350,000 residents, and St. Louis County has a highly gentrified, low density, non-culturally cohesive mess of 1 million residents, and 92 municipalities to boot. Isn't there something wrong with that?

Haven't seen a bad one in the bunch. We've have got a creative group of people around here!
