  1. You can find it following Tag's supplied link from Devotion. The building you are looking for is in here -https://www.sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=1931 Full thread (middle part actually) can be found here: https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/index.php?topic=5435.140
  2. I was forwarded the following links: (1) unifies most PUG parks (Paeng Urban Gardens) into the cobble - haven't tried it but it is on his support thread http://www.simpeg.com/forum/index.php?topic=9722.msg194792#msg194792 The second link was just posted to the stex in December - texture ver 4 - it appears that there may be a common texture type offering. I'd suggest you check out his parks - but I suspect it was the term PUG not the parks that was not familiar. I understand the 1 file only nature of sidewalk mods - and i do like the unified as it also changes the BSC parks too - however, I was just hoping for a mod that would have 30 choices or so - or a simple applet that would override the texture of a "blank" texture to any texture. If you know of something along these lines - appreciated.
  3. Would someone point me to a sidewalk mod - with a multitude of dats to choose from - perhaps a sidewalk mod generator? I've tried Gobias' unfortunately, the HD file is not working for me graphically and more to the point the images look nearly identical. The Unified Mod works but has limited options - I just can't find the right look. I would like to be able to have the Van Plaza retro plaza texture for a sidewalk option - assuming the agreement allows for it - or some other texture that comes along to help unify the aesthetic. Also, (2) is there a mod that will unify and allow options aka sidewalk mod - for all the PUG parks, paths etc. I'm using the Peg unified texture mod - and its success is hit or miss. Mostly miss. I like the stone tile well enough - but the cork like paths of many of the files just don't blend in. Sand is not my thing - spent too many years trying to wash it out. A short URL link to why didn't you read this post first d.a. is appreciated - more welcomed. I have over weeks sorted my plugin directory and it is squared away. No duplicated dats, did my level best to make sure I have no obsolete dependencies - overrides all seem proper/expected - and the load appears to me to be properly ordered. I have no brown boxes. I only have one plop pack hanging out in my parks menu - all items except for it valid and used. I've searched on line over several days - so though I hopefully missed the obvious quick solution - I'm not just posting with a "feed me" sense of entitlement. I may not have much to show for it - but I did my best to solve my own problem - on my own first. My plugin directory is a thing of beauty - I just want my PUGs and Sidewalks to look so good. Tschüs and thanks for taking the time to review the post/plea. Timothy
  4. Issues concerning the beta NAM would be better for you if posted on the site (devotion I believe) setup to handle the beta tweaks and questions. Not that I mind personally - but the knowledge base already stored there for viewing would be more helpful and the topic would be more easily found and addressed. (I found it crashing often - I really liked the advances they made on the GLR) Monorail is being merged with a system associated with HSR but is developed for inter city travel - I belive there is still an option to retain it - but that may not make the final cut - nor will it be the way of the future. tschüs, Timothy

Airman, kudo's on both your comprehensive reply - and the kind presumption of Matt's intent.  Novice vs ner'do well is an important distinction.    Matt keep up the work and someday maybe we will have a Matt33b and we can all say "I remember when"!
  6. Los Angeles Fire Station 1

Matt - thanks for uploading your work.  However please check out your image files you are using for your screen shots.  All but one are very dark and out of focus.  There is no way to assess your work - a reasonable idea of what one is considering to download is essential.  Hopefully it is just a file corruption on your upload.  When the image issue is resolved - I'll take a second look.   Regards,

Geography is an important aspect of humanity's aesthetic and psychological development of self and comfort.   If you want to make an ancient Greek crazy transport them to Montana or South Dakota.  The lack of naturally defined precincts, sacred space and civic space would introduce an emotional chaos.  In many respects the Western world, particularly those raised in Mountainous areas - have inherited this preference and suffer from its' loss.    Yet - I like it.
  8. Great Zone of kindness here!

  9. Video Card

Chip is an Athalon 64 - version release supports DDRAM - 2.2 GHZ under the most ideal environment - degrades - board runs hot - but i cut out large parts of the box - and covered the cut outs with lined it with metal door screen mesh - Its ugly - but works. I know I should replace it - but I still remember how many day old bagels I ate for dinner saving up for that computer. I appreciate the confirmation on the Direct X. I'll have to do some research but I'm sure I can find a great card topping at 9 with good memory. (I rolled back to 9 and I did notice a huge difference - but my graphic card inhales wind - so I wasn't certain if the direct x version limitation was universal. I have a copy of xp Pro 64 bit - not certain were the key is - but I suspect I can solve that issue - it was legally purchased years ago. I greatly appreciate your time and care. Regards, Timothy.
  10. Video Card

Thanks - I have run the gig patch and it does make some improvements - in specific areas - but draw speed (I only use large cities) when I bop around is an issue. Obviously a first world problem - but it would be nice to have the thing hum like well oiled machine. I do use 32 bit detail - and there have been no performance issues that I've noticed. Thanks for the Moose droppings!
  11. I'd like to convert my old tower to a dedicated Sim box. As it only runs on one processor my only concern is RAM and graphic card. As the game is of old design I'm concerned which card to get. I see where it uses directx or open gl. Does anyone know the upper limit for direct x - and more likely the best video card with SimRush as my only consideration? Also - I'll probably replace the chip any suggestions there/concerns with vid card? I'm experimenting with batting - without much sucess - but that will be on a different system. Thank you.
  12. I found that within a dense population base I do not require the adjacent mass transit. Sufficient pedestrian suffice. Question: Can anyone point me to the NAM mod that changes the default ped mall option 1 with the better tree/planter/parking mod as well as changing the standard ped mall with the white stone to match? My system blew up - still working to restore - and I can't stand the visual of all that chaos on each tile. Thanks!
  13. Question: After reducing plugin directory file size the Lot Editor finally opens - then as others have reported - the image flickers in constant rotation. Seems to be the same lot cycling - not the one I'm loading - and each launch results in the same - but with a different file cycling/flicking. I am a simple guy with just a bit more money than time - Is there an appliation I can purchase that will do the same? Likely more powerful but also relatively simple to use? I'm just trying to modify some files - pedestrian enabled tiles - and eventually create a few jewish themed lots. I just need to get passed the why isn't this darn thing not working now stage. I don't mind spending time and bucks on a product that will actually produce results - or if not for me - then to pass on to my nephew - and then make him create my files! - oh an idea there! A work around in the meantime would be great. I think this type of project will keep me out of trouble and away from the ponies! - regards all.
