As to resturants I would really appreciate a better Subway Sandwiches then the one currently on the STEX. It is nice but I would love one with more detail!!! And if you have the urge to ever add more grocery stores I would like to speak for the lower class Sims in requesting a Sav-A-Lot Store.
  16. Rochester

The Downtown being a little away from the coast is true to the real Rochester which has a downtown that is away from the coast itself. (In response to every one tellnig you to move your downtown closer to the coast.) I've only been to Rochester once or twice....I'm from the town that neither Rochester or Buffalo want to claim as under their sway...Warsaw lol.

Beautiful Buildings.!!! Would really like to see the row homes, plaza, and those low income projects on the BEX soon The skyscrapers are nice to yet there seems to be a glut of those lately. But I'd still use them. More and More variety Edit: just noticed I'm finally a resident.

  21. Joergs BAT Showcase

Probably overdoing this but I really want to see this Space Needle project suceed with a bang. Some background-- Opened April 21, 1962 for the Seatle World's Fair, the Space Needle took 400 days to design and build. it took 467 cement trucks and 12 continuous hours to pour 5,850 tons of concrete and 250 tons of rebar to form the Needle's base. It was originally going to named the Space Cage, and the Stuttgart Tower in Germany provided the inspiration for the Needle's Design. The Space Needle is 605 feet tall and is 730.25 feet above sea level. There are 832 steps to the top of the Needle and three glass elevators that can accomodate 30 passengers. The average elevator trip lasts 43 seconds. There are three restaurants located in the Space Needle--the Space Needle Restaurant and the Emerald Suite on the 500 foot level and the Skyline banquet at the 100 foot level. The rotating restaurants (at the 500 foot level) make one revolution every 58 mintues. All of the restaurants feature Pacific Northwest cuisine--especially fresh seafood and local produce. There are 24 lightning rods on top of the Space Needle to make it lightning proof. Also, since the Pacific Northwest is prone to earthquakes, the designer doubled the existing building code requirements to make sure the Space Needle would be safe for many years to come. It is also designed to withstand winds of more than 100 miles per hour--it's foundation is 30 feet deep. On a hot day, the Space Needle expands about one inch! Some pictures from different angles and of the bottom. http://www.ripbang.com/RBA/portfolio/images/dr_spaceneedle.jpg None of these pics are hosted onsight...I wouldn't upload them and take the space.
