I still refuse to update my minecraft because I'm done with the pseudo-modding this game offers. with every new version every mod has to be rewritten from the core and redownloaded and reinstalled and eeeww... nope, I stick to my 1.5.2 until there's a final(!) way of dealing with content in this game. oh and I found myself a nice scifi-themed texture pack aswell, aeon style. good textures, hires and I didn't even have to rework any of my creations as it happen to utilize the quartz blocks for hulls which I did aswell EDIT: the game sort of dislikes my rendering distance setting, even on optifine maximum it doesn't really render different from +64 so I had to take a screeny with a mapviewer... anyways, I had to rework what I've previously shown cuz of some scale errors, but now everythings correct and here's the current state, with the hull bout 75% percent complete: currently 768 long, 448 wide and 195 high, 39 decks. still missing a bit to the rear and on the underside, so its gonna be almost 800 long and 200 high. overall width won't change... oh boy...

lets talk behemoth for a second: thats just a quarter of the final thing. it should just fit into the map vertical-wise... I hope I'm right...

this mod shows the power of shaders... too bad that, by the time this mod is maybe 50% finished, V gets its pc release

just create a small town and a heapload of farmfields around... plus a church and a cemetery and set your date to christmas to trigger the snow. done. oh i iz soooo in love with the matte+pearlescent glitch: and it's not even complicated to do: 1) buy matte paintjob you want as a base color 2) go to metallics and select (not buy) anyone 3) hit circle (or b on eggbock) and navigate to any section 4) buy any mod 5) go back to respray and find pearlescent available dark base colors give a cool iridescent look to it but it works with all base colors of course EDIT: and fyi: I forgot to mention you don't necessarily need to use matte, it works with all color types. here I hooked up Frankies bike with chrome and ultra blue pearl (actually looks better ingame):

My SC4 CJ Scrapbook | Important update and news!
GMT replied to BLANKBLANK's topic in SC4 City Journals
not a bad start at all -
since I recently played a lot of Anno2070 (I can totally recommend to download the arrc-mod) I must say the soundtracks, especially the eco-soundtrack, is quite a good work. well arranged and with a recurring theme, pretty much like a movie soundtrack

Thats cute. Try MS Flight Simulator. We're talking millions to buy everything. not that you would need it but... yeah... But that's a bad example because such addons are usually stuff to enhance the realism of the simulator (much better system depth, photorealistic landscapes instead of autogenerated landscapes, higher terrain resolution, better weather engines...) aiming at people trying to go the full length of, in this case, flying. plus the money goes to a 3rd party and not to the actual producer trying to milk it's customer by selling unfinished games and charging money to make it complete or even working at all *cough* ea *cough* or to give you the extra edge over other players in a competitive manner, be it via gameplay or just to brag with visual content

I'm not as much worried about IATA (intl air transport association) as I am worried about ICAO (intl civil aviation organization) as they are the legislative authority. ICAO formulates the rules and the national authorities have to adopt them, but can adjust to national laws or even opt out if necessary. IATA is more on the operative side of life and has no legal authority, only counselling (some may call it lobbying) functions to legal authorities. Of course IATA is also concerned with flight safety to a certain extent like all aviation groups are so they would worry about your layout aswell, but... yeah... it wouldn't increase the size of the insland that much to change it... you know, 71% water surface and stuff... what are some 15000m² more island area compared to 361billion m² water...
-
TekindusT That's a very nice airport. I like the layout of putting the regionals inside and surround them by looooooong terminals for loooooooong flights Too bad there's no general aviation area for private / corporate flying. I bet those sunday flyers would love this island. If I may, I want to suggest a suggestion: put at least 2 more tiles of space between the parallel runways because of the following scenario: that quantas 380 up right departs and is cleared for runway 26R. it taxis down the road, crosses 26L and holds short at 26R because an ac just landed. same time, another bird is cleared to approach 26L for landing. Now guess what happens if a 72meters long aircraft holds short between your inner and outer runways, where the area between the hold short lines is just 32 meters in length Even San Francisco has just enough room to spare between the runways so an a380 fits in between the hold short lines. These lines define a safe zone for the runway so holding aircraft don't mess with landing aircraft. there's even different positions for the different approach categories so to make sure that the safety margin is good even in bad weather and guidance signals from the ils antennas won't be messed with when aircraft wait to get access to the runway concerned. Josh6 Cardinal airlines... I see... I like the "parallel" parking of the tubroprops. Nice, unique idea. But why so few areas shown? I bet there's more to see

Found Rollercoaster Tycoon 1! But can't load saved games...

deluxe works just fine for me without any magic, but I'm still on Vista 64 -
oh there's quite a lot you can do while being trolled... IF you're a fan of doing nothing Frankly, this game is so much of a downer. never expected it to say this but... yes, it is. it's basically gta online with an offline mode called gta v. and even if you consider that R* put the emphasis on the online mode, it's still boring. I love the setting, it's awesome. but the story doesn't really catch me, thus placing the replay value very low unless you wanna do things different. and the highly praised money-thing... well, it really comes down to "mine is bigger than yours" cuz there aint much to do with it except bragging. it really couldn't live up to the hype, sadly. but hey, it has like 700 boring-as-hell repetitive online "missions", hooray

... the moment you fire up good ol gta v for the first time in a few weeks and feel yourself confronted with a 11412% return on your stock investments... and no, not a typo. I'm talking about eleven a half thousand percent:

What's the furthest away you've ever seen a city skyline?

nyc from somewhere between springfield ma and hartford ct at some 33k feet on a clear night, but I guess thats one lucky sight -
nah mine was a bit different, my atpl (integrated course) is actually part of the bachelor degree, not a parallel thing. the results of the theory exam (both ppl and atpl) count towards the degree's result. and since we had to take the theoretical ppl test, I also opted for the practial test which was not part of the program, but an option. good thing is you get all out of one hand, more or less, bad thing is it increases the workload dramatically, especially in my case when you have to work to actually finance it... but on the bottom line, in todays economy, I can only advise everyone who considers to become a commercial pilot to think twice about it, get your informations sorted and refrain from pulling this off as your primary profession, unless you end up in an airline training program or at least a sponsored program, ideally with a linked and somewhat save job opportunity. best thing is to get yourself settled with a "normal" job that pays the bills and drops of a bit extra for a modular system. that way you can start off with a ppl, see if the whole flying thing suits you, then go on with instrument to see if this type of flying suits you aswell as it is a whole different scheme of flying not comparable to your regular ppl vfr flying, and then continue on towards commercial ratings if you feel like you want to work in a cockpit. you got to put an extra effort into the whole thing as you still work your "regular job" and it might take you a couple years to get through this, but in the end you're the lucky guy as it might take you another couple years of keeping your licenses valid until you land a job in a small cockpit at a small service and chances are, you gotta work 2 jobs to still pay the bills, at least for another few years until you climb high enough on the job ladder or convert to a larger carrier with better payroles. and don't fall for funny business schemes. unfortunately, there's plenty of money to be made in aviation and most is payed by those wanting to become part of this world... well, that enough off topic I guess
-
yes I am, privated rated and almost commercial rated aswell. passed the airline transport pilot licence theory exam and probably finish the practial phase in the next few weeks. plus a bachelors degree in aviation technics and economy.

why don't you just click on the picture? it's almost 4000x3000, pretty closeup if you'd ask me anyways, that's a nice small airport you got there smf_16. Runway has a sufficient length for the MRJTs shown at the gates, good use of RETs, the terminal is well designed for the area it's located at, enough parking, not too stuffed with ... stuff ^^ so far so good. Also nice forests around the area. I fail to find a control tower tho. An airport like that should be controlled! The tower must be located so that it's personnel can supervise the entire airport area, especially the air-side (runways, taxiways, apron, gates, basically everything past the security checks) Further, you should fortify your runway peninsula with seawalls as it doesn't look that stable around the edges... and definitely fix the corner on the upper left, it looks bad and feels bad, I see the corner dropping into the ocean due to the stress (jets taxing, water, wind, and weather...) I wouldn't mind either if you'd expand the right side a tile or two, give some extra room if your pilot screws up and drifts off the runway think of Asiana 214 at KSFO: © ezra shaw / getty images, copied from nydailynews.com The 777 came in WAY too low and struck the seawalls at 28L, ripped of it's landing gear and tail and then skidded uncontrollably about the landing area of 28L. That small street where it came to rest is 100meters (≈6 tiles) off the runway measuring from centerline to centerline; edge to edge of the paved area its 50meters (≈3 tiles). On your airport, runway 36, this 777 would have ended as a submersible and certainly more fatal than it already did. If I were you, I'd give them at least 3 tiles between the runway edge and the security fence just to be a bit further on the safe side of crashlandings.

EA voted worst company in the US the second time in a row. So this is how serious they took it the first time.

I had an equally boring sim city back in the days on my samsung d500... or was it d900... no I think it was the d500. looks like nothing really chanced except the graphics

anyone knows whether the mass effect and skyrim meshups gonna be released on pc aswell? or at least a texturepack that compares to the mass effect pack or even is a rip of it?

ihmo, s2 was the best and it turned crappy the moment the series went down realistic-graphics-blvd (I think s5). luckily they got back to the "oldschool" cute-ish design and even did a proper 3D relaunch of settlers 2. I can't remember a game that when from 2d to 3d relaunch-wise that nailed the original feeling that precisely. oh, If you happen to own an original copy of the settlers 2, I can strongly suggest to try out RTTR (return to the roots) it turns s2 into a non-dos playable game with all the perks of todays standards, but still keeping the original gameplay and even enhances it beyond what the expansion packs (that's oldschool for "dlc") gave us...

even tho I can't relate to everything ex-ussr at all, I liked this station the most in IV and yes, schweine is one of the best songs on the whole soundtrack.
-
not sure what you're trying to tell us here... "songs that used beats from tracks on the GTA radio stations".. might be linked to the fact that all songs in gta are real songs from real artists, maybe a few gta-exclusives but most are "normal" songs like those in the charts, on albums and stuff. not all artists are well known or worldwide stars, but the selection of songs is awesome, well thought through and gives a blast of authenticity (is that a word?) to the setting of the game.
