I love CAM, but Pegasus' ports and rewards seem to be causing some issues since I installed CAM. Anyone else experienced this? Any other incompatibilities I should know about?

As far as I can tell, Datpacker is a Windows only program, so not much use to the folk here, unless you know of a port.

I upgraded to Snow Leopard with the acquisition of a new, faster machine and SimCity works okay. It doesn't crash as easily as before, but going from underground to normal view has become incredibly slow. It also still takes forever to load a city. I suspect I need to poke around the settings.

Do the terraforming tools work differently in the Mac version?

Thanks. I will now go and try that out. I might be uncontactable for a while ;-) -

Most of the terraforming tutorials I've read mention that you can adjust the size of the area affected by the raise/lower/level tools using a ctrl-function key combination, f1 being the smallest, and f10 being the biggest. The Mac version doesn't appear to work like that! I find that I can switch between a big area and a smaller area using the control key, but that's about it. If my suspicions are correct and I can't do any precise terraforming, how do you all rate the various hole-digging/raising lots that are out there? -
Date: 5/1/2005 7:31:34 PM Author: maremet Or better, you can use another browser then your usual one if you have installed.quote> This is also something I do - it's one of the few things I use Safari for, with Firefox as my regular.

It's an over-paranoid protection against external links - there's a forum thread on it here: http://www.jphayden.com/pegprod/forums/viewtopic.php?t=958 , with some solutions. If you log-out and log-in again, it should be okay - I'm set up so that my login expires when I close the browser and I have to log in afresh each time. More dramatically, you can always quit the browser and make sure that it's the first site you visit when you restart!

The versions you can download from the Pegasus Productions site are already suitable for use on the Mac version.

Repairman syndrome has cut in, and left me confused! I re-downloaded the stubborn packages, and this time they unpacked nicely. When this happened in the past, that trick didn't work. Anyway, will let you know if I find any that are problematic even when redownloaded. Sorry to bother you.

I'm having problems with some of the files, which won't unzip. I usually try with Stuffit Expander first (that's what my browser is set up to do), but below is an example using the command line unzip, in verbose mode, in case the error messages are useful: Saya:~/incoming feorag$ unzip -v FEPProps.zip.zip-link.zip Archive: FEPProps.zip.zip-link.zip End-of-central-directory signature not found. Either this file is not a zipfile, or it constitutes one disk of a multi-part archive. In the latter case the central directory and zipfile comment will be found on the last disk(s) of this archive. unzip: can't find zipfile directory in one of FEPProps.zip.zip-link.zip or FEPProps.zip.zip-link.zip.zip, and can't find FEPProps.zip.zip-link.zip.ZIP, period.
