1. Altoville

I've taken the advice of some other users and installed a lot of custom content from the STEX. Especially for Montenly, which you all have yet to see. Other than city-like BATs I've installed a few rural BATs to keep Altoville from being too Maxisized. Altoville is one of the peaceful towns of Fairview. It contains about 1,500 people, so it's fairly small, but represents a similar getaway location just like Newtonville. Altoville, which Alto means High in many Romance languages, was one of the first towns built outside metropolitan Montenly. The name matches the town somewhat, physically and metaphorically. Physically, because the town is built on Fairview's northern foothills and slopes, and metaphorically, because the townsfolk are slightly snobby . The CBD.... The town's central meeting place, the Clocktower... The younglings meeting place, the Comm Center... The Altonians primary industry, Agriculture....
2. First Glimpse: Newtonville, Introductions

Thanks to all. I installed a bunch of CC for the big city, and I'll look more into rural custom content.
3. First Glimpse: Newtonville, Introductions

Fairview is a beautiful region of about 350,000 people. It's rolling green, forested hills are dominated by the city of Montenly. Further outside Montenly, and it's suburbs, are the peaceful towns and hamlets. Such towns include Pinewood, Altoville, and Newtonville. Fairview is also surrounded by an ocean, making Fairview a Peninsula. South of the peninsula lie the planned, layed out cities of Caltine and Gerich. The region of Fairview is beautiful, varied, and populated. For our introduction we will focus on the resort town of Newtonville. Newtonville is a town of about 2,800 residents and lies north of Montenly. The town's primary industry is agriculture. The town also gets some money and wealth from a somewhat large, and growing, commercial business. In 1917 a resort hotel was built on the land, made for city folk who wanted to escape to the peaceful countryside. Panorama of Newtonville: Closer shot of downtown Newtonville: The resort hotel: To top it all off, Newtonville is powered by an all-clean, all-safe, and cheap wind source: Please comment and rate. What do you think?
4. Upper Class

update soon?
5. Upper Class

5/5 once again. The upper class is snobby and bratty, and I like how you mentioned the upper class kids' grades are slipping, as it foreshadows they too might stoop at the level of the poor kids . It's like the whole city is heading for doom .
6. Sorry!

Ah, you considered my idea to cut ed. to the poor side of town . 5/5 stars and the city looks very shabby and gross. good job, once again.
7. Bankrupt!

I think you should cut a little from both fire and police, but still keep them well funded, but you demolish and cut finding to that of schools deep into the bad neighnorhoods, but keep schools in the middle class and upperclass well funded.
8. IX: CONNECTIONS

The mayor is so creepy. I like the details you put in about being detained at the security station, or gambling all your money away. I also like the mayor, he seems a lot like Kim-Jong-il. Anyway, you do great at making this city pretty awful. It's not a Bankok or anything like that though .
9. Crime

Its so creepy of how you make it seem that the whole neighborhood is doomed. I like the 4th pic, showing the huge wall-up.
10. Highway

I think a rail would be fine, and in some congested areas put some elevated rail. Monorail seems too expensive and would probably go un-used.
11. The Arx Imperium

This is really good. The boy/girl's father is like that of some of the evil-er roman emperors.
12. Downtown Again

Great downtown! I also am glad you kept that one brown, art deco-y building across from the demolished lot. I think its those angry, corporate suits who are burning the factories, to make room for banks and offices 5/5 stars again.
13. Mega Mall

I like the star-of-david shaped window on the roof of the mall. Besides that the mall looks great, and it fits fine (at first I thought it looked too big in comparison to cars and other buildings, but i think its okay)
14. Introduction to Carisbrooke

Great city, I like how Chinatown is really modern.
15. Pasipalm- Traffic and Pollution

From 1957 Pasipalm had many traffic problems, to which one-way roads, subways, etc.. were built. Pollution was also a problem, to where a policy that lowered emission from buildings and cars was launched in 1957. Pics! 10-21-1957 Because of heavy pollution, a public ordinance was passed to lower direct emission. Pop. 19,774 10-24-1965- 'Smoke Detector Program' launched to improve effectiveness of firemen. Pop. 24,007 5-8- 1970- Several bus stops are built to quell heavy traffic problems. Pop. 25,431 3-2-1971- New subway line built. Pop. 23,813 5-21-1972- A one-way road is built downtown. Pop. 25,384 12-2-1981- Suburbs are built. Pop. 29,789 3-15-1997- New rail is built. Pop. 35,124 1-7-1998- A university is opened in the suburbs. Pop. 36,797 So, what do you think? Comment and rate please. NEXT: A tour of Pamsanda. I will be making a tourbook of all the cities on Pamsanda Island.
16. Overview

I think 12 should be some sort of nature preserve, or maybe a carnival or amusement park.
17. Quick Update

What are you going to place in the old factory site. A fire house? Lol I think you should build...hmmm. maybe you should build more houses, maybe not skyscrapers, but just two story homes.
18. Pasipalm- Traffic and Pollution
Do you know what the difference is between building 2 one-way roads and just building an avenue?
what? theyre the same?
19. Fire!

Good, let those factories burn, so then retail shops and condo's can move in the rubble. 5/5 stars, maybe extend this story to include arsonists burning down another factory.
20. Repercussions

Good job, again. I think its cool how you did a survey of all sold and unsold buildings. Can't wait for region view. The city looks so good. 5/5 stars
21. Introduce Yourself Here!

Hi, my name is Jameson, Ive already been on Simtrop for a few weeks and have already made a CJ. Im into all sorts of Video Games, except FPS. Im into city buidling, RPG, action, horror, and I guess Im just a normal gamer. Other than gaming I do a lot of art on MS Paint. I also like writing, mainly SciFi or horror, or on atomic bombs. So, thats it.
22. Destruction and Construction

This is a really cool city, like a brick and stone city, can you provide a larger city view soon? for a tip, I think you should history-fy some of the small shops, and replace some others with smaller offices. It'll get rid of some mom and pop shops, and put in some small offices, but still keep the town-ish atmosphere.
23. What Music are you listening to right now?--The Second Verse

24. For an update to SC4 or a whole new SC5, I think we should see: 1. curved roads (duh) 2. no grid (duh) 3. possible 3D, but 2D, like in SC4 is acceptable 4. Being able to see neighbor cities from one city, like being able to see neighboring houses from your own house in the Sims 3 5. More disasters, like tsunami and plague, and customizable disaster sizes, like small or large meteorite, or 1.2 or 9.8 eartquake 6. varied Import and export products, so if you are an agrarian town, you could export oranges, and if your industrial you could import plaster or whatever. ok, thats it.
25. What are you eating now?
