Mod edit: Needs updating - Cori There have been scattered bits and pieces all over the forums on how to post a picture and what sites to use. But I still see some posts and CJ's with people attaching photos. So I am going to put a very simple, step-by-step tutorial on how to post images on the site. Step 1: Imageshack.us Imageshack is the most popular, and in my opinion, best way to host images. So first you need to register. A. Register at www.imageshack.us. It is very simple and easy. B. Once you do that, go to the home screen. C. Go to the Media Upload tab. D. Select browse and navigate to your saved image. E. Before you click upload, look at the Image Resizing option. F. For this version of Simtropolis (ST8), you can post images over 800x600 pixels, because they are automatically resized. I upload mine at 1024x768 so if someone would like to see the full sized image in a new tab, they can. G. You can now upload your image. When it is done, it will take you to a page like this. H. You need to copy the direct link. Highlight it and press Ctrl and C or just right-click and copy the text. You are now done with Step 1: Imageshack. Step 2: Posting in the forums This is the easiest part. You are almost done! A. Start making a new post. B. Click the little picture icon. A little box will come up. C. Paste your direct link in the box. D. Click Insert Image. E. It now has [img] and img around the link. F. You can now post and your pictures will show up! Extra Info: -It is best to save images as JPEG (.jpg) images. It loads faster. -If the image is too large, you may want to provide a link to the image. -There are some alternatives to imageshack such as, photobucket and imgur. -If you saved images as a png, you can open it in paint and select save as, and save it as a jpg. Have fun with images, if you need help just ask!

How to make a custom lot with the Lot Editor What you need: • SC4BAT • Plugin Manager • Lot Editor Make sure you download all 3 files on the page. • Gmax 1st: Open the SC4Bat. Zoom in on the Top view in the Top-Left corner. Make a box that is very small. See? Very Small. #2: Click on the hammer button on the top-right corner of the right part of the screen. Click BAT>Quality(Select Draft)>Export. Make sure you save it as draft quality. Save it as anything you want but I will save it as project001. This is very helpful for later. After you press save it will show pictures of the little box in different zooms and angles. Do not X out of the box. When it is done it will tell you. When this comes up press yes. #3: Open the plugin manager Find your item and drag it into the parks category. Then follow the instructions in the following picture. When you are done with that click Apply. Then close the Plugin Manager. #4: Open the lot editor. When it asks you for a lot to edit, search pz1x1 and click the one selected in the picture. Change the highlighted areas to 90 and 50. Now delete all of the props by dragging a box over them on the right part of the screen. And change the base texture. Go to the building tab and press “replace item”. Find a select your building, I named it project001. Then put it in the back corner of your lot. Now add props and trees and you're almost done! Then click the Save As button and save your new park. And that is how you make a custom lot using the lot editor! You can do this with other things like editing police stations or schools. Just drag your building into the right category in the plugin manager and open a building (in the lot editor) in the menu that you want your lot to show up in. Have fun making parks and buildings!

Great job! :) I've seen lots of improvement from you. Here are some suggestions to give your pictures a more attractive look. Minimize button remover Turn off UDI zots (those annoying arrows that are telling you to do missions) from the, if I remember correctly, My Sims menu Save your game before taking a picture of a beach, it fixes the bug shown in your picture Press "G" in-game to turn of the gridlines -

How to make a custom lot with the Lot Editor
Jack³ commented on Jack³'s article in BAT & Lot Editor Tutorials
Sorry there are so many problems, guys. This tutorial was made almost two years ago and is a little out-of-date. I don't have any of those pictures saved on my current computer, so I am unable to help with that. For any help, I advise you ask around on the forums. -
Problem: Tennis court provides jobs
Jack³ replied to fender63000's topic in SC4 Bugs & Technical Issues
The tennis courts, ranger station, and skate parks all provide jobs for my cities. It is a part of mod. -

Before this option was available, ST told me I had to wait three years! December 23, 2013 I believe (I joined in 2010). When I was looking into changing my username, the name "Jack" was available–now it's taken. I'm just going to keep it the way it is, even though I really hate it.

^That looks great! My only suggestion would be to add more mid-rises to help it transition smoother. Here is a photoshopped picture of the downtown area of a city I'm working on:
-
Everything is just so perfect. :O
-
Such a beautiful city! :)
-
Even better the second time! Very nicely done. :)
-
Very nice! I love it! :D Seriously, dude? :|
-
Beautiful! :) That suburban area has the perfect mix of low and mid-rise!

Kurt, as always, this is great! :) I'm very impressed, as usual. I'm sure if you asked respectfully and maybe added a nice compliment on the rest of the update, anyone would be glad to find the links you want. But this is just plain obnoxious. Kurt worked hard on this and I don't think he would appreciate it if you came in, in all caps, begging for links. Please show some respect.

I remember Highland had a Roller Coaster called Wicked Timber! I see some trees behind it...Wicked Oak? No, I don't think I would be too interested in riding a Wicked Oak. It's purple: The indigo snake is purple. The Wicked Snake/Viper? That's probably the best I can come up with. Kuhan's very own Wicked Viper! What do you think?
