The game seems good, Shame the presenter lacked confidence while explaining the game, Made me somewhat lose interest.

Hey guys, I just upgraded the Euro textures, and found this glitch just appears from nowhere, I was pretty sure i had everything on LHD, but i may have forgot something. Is this to do with LHD/RHD or is it just texture errors? Drawpaths:

First in-game screenshots of Simcity (2013)
jakehh replied to fatbuster's topic in SimCity (2013) General Discussion
I don't mind that the graphics are cartoonish, but the whole game looks like the Sims 3 in my honest opinion (Never liked the sims) -
Western suburbs of Santa Leon & airport

Hello, I'm back with a new city, this will be a more prepared city for growth, unlike most my other cities that outgrew the given size, so i'm starting my first Fiction region city (Instead of one city per tile) So i shall start with the "Financial District" This being also the first commercial area served by the Cambridge Metro subway link, (Soon to be revised & possibly partly rebuilt due to increasing usage) Day; Night; (This was an earlier shot before i had laid out Cambridge Park) The first stage of residential housing, with the rich having waterfront view houses) (And you may have noticed no houses along side the beach, this is because i find having the beach style left in any city residential areas, it will give the city a much better feel.) And last; The Cambridge River with a view of each CBD (Being split allows a much easier rail system; Which will be described in The next Post!) Enjoy. Also; This may possibly be the first CJ of 2011? Well its 2011 in Australia so i'd guess so

@City_Master; Thank you. It has indeed. @gpulos24; Thanks, Yes i do. Welcome to Rye Population: 85,043 Jobs: 141,711 Main St, Rye. Many buses on route to Cambridge via Cambridge North. Many Companies have a Headquarters in Rye, due to its close proximity to the Airport, Cambridge CBD, Rye River, Northern FWY & Public Transport. It's size is nearly 40% of the Cambridge metropolitan area. Since the massive upsurge in residents, the entire regional area currently holds 831,088 civilians, many within the regional cities of: Fairbanks (Pop: 60,920) Highton (Pop: 6,684) Riversbend (Pop: 5,970) Rivershore (Pop: 21,309,) Cities are designated as a City once they've reached either 5,000+ civilians, or have the ability to bring great amounts of jobs into the region (Fairbanks & Rivershore are both the biggest commercial areas outside of the Cambridge Metro area, bringing in 80,000 - Fairbanks & 17,000 - Rivershore) Sorry about the lack of images and such to show where each city is, but i'll have a full region shot of them in the next update! Take care

Good public transit, close Jobs & Easy to access schools etc. Try and keep congestion as low as possible, Otherwise, build alternative routes (Highways, Subways, Rail, EL Rail etc)

There's this annoying texture that comes up on RHW, railway, Roads (Diagonal roads etc) anyway, If the RHW is diagonal, it's every second square that has this texture, I've not seen it in many CJ's, so i'm assuming there's a mod to fix it?

Granted, But you lose your eyesight. I wish that i could foretell the future.

@Vivapanda; Thank you It's nearly doubled in population since the last update too! @Sim_link & Jacksunny; Thank you @IL.; Thank you, I'll look at them Sorry for being away for a couple of weeks, been busy lately. I did as much as i could in the region, and there's been a huge improvement in the bus, rail, Metro & tram systems. There's been a few added High-rises to the CBD, including the addition of the Gas station before the bridge leaving onto the Southern Hwy. There's been an upgrade of the M1 from the city Centre to Brunswick (North RD) exit, which then forms back into 2 lanes each way, along with Lights being implemented on the highways. The new highway helped ease congestion on both the roads and rail systems. There's now a total of 700,000+ Civilians in Cambridge City. (that's nearly double the amount from the last update (480,000) Many of the population is from the newly arisen City "Rye" along with the sprawling suburbs of Cambridge North. And there's soon to be more sprawl west. Here's a little teaser for something to come in the future (unsure on when exactly the project will be finished) Click to view full size.

Right click on your Desktop Icon, Then click "Properties" Then there should be a Target area (View Attachment if unsure), at the end of the target, add -CPUCount:1 after the quotation marks ("")

I've encountered this when i go to the very edge of the map, But i'd suggest Following A Nonny Moose's instructions, and if that doesn't help, post an Error Log.
-
Oh fair enough. I guess i'll have to live with it. Thank you.
-
The grass texture right beside the RHW.
-
Congratulations Nathan! Owow, Didn't expect to be in the +10 without an update. Must be doing something right

I think he's referring to this.

I Don't even. How'd i get #9 a night after updating (Not saying i deserve higher) I'm just shocked that i rose that high after a night.

Guaranteed SimCity 4 on Windows 7 Fix - 1 Step
jakehh replied to Mechalic's topic in SC4 Bugs & Technical Issues
Mine's always been installed into C:\Program Files (x86)\Maxis Never seen a problem with it. Seeing as it's just a folder name, and When it installs, it would write a Registry entry to tell windows where it is.- 83 Replies

@ee99; Thanks @City_Master; Thank you, There's actually 2, One for seasonal stay and another for permanent residence / Celebrity Status. @Wustmann; Thank you. @Aaron Graham; Thanks @vivapanda; Thank you. The correct number was 8, Making the winner JackSunny. Since the last update, there's been huge growth in the Greater Cambridge Region, Including a newly established City, (Part of the Plan to accomodate 3 Million sims within a year.) The newly established "Rye" has it's own railway line (Branched off the Northern Express and currently has plans to terminate at the planned Cambridge International Airport) Cambridge Region. Cambridge Metropolis area (Estimated upon growth & transport corridors) The City of Rye Estimated Population (June 2012): 300,000 Public transit Links Tram (Connects to Cambridge North, New Cambridge & all connecting services from Cambridge CBD) Railway (Currently only connecting to Cambridge CBD, With proposals to link the designated area for the airport to the railway and highway) M2 Highway (Splits the outer suburbs & inner-city Suburbs) Riversbend The small township of Riversbend has recently seen some upgrades since the rapid growth around the town centre. New Cambridge (Cambridge City) Central Square Is the centre of all transport links of Cambridge. Cambridge can be a very bright place at night. The city of Cambridge recently brought up some proposals about making All of the public transport 24/7, Starting from Trams, Then moving to buses (with a much needed expansion of the buses), Rail & then metro lines.

Your Questions for Maxis (for March-April 2012)
jakehh replied to Kevin's topic in SimCity (2013) General Discussion
Will there be rivers and lakes above sea level? -
you said that backwards. subway lines should be in the downtown area because developers try to save space around highrises. he trams should be in the suburbs because it breaks up house repetition . Personally I'd like to see some EL-Rail there, it will compliment those high skyscrappers nicely. I'd more so say tram's on the avenues, could even combine it with subway.
-
@-JD- Put a Tram line through the centre then convert it to subway to connect to the suburbs etc?
