From the album Urban Features (S3-02-E)
This is Ross, it sits across the bay from the island city of Port Allegheny. Ross is home to roughly 30,000 residents and its prosperity is due to its proximity to Port Allegheny. It sits just shy of the Oakmont River delta, where it empties into the bay. Highway 46 runs from Port Allegheny tof the New Washington/Steelington metro area some 200 miles away. Port Allegheny is a gateway into the Amoria interior, and Port Allegheny, as well as Ross, enjoy trade coming from the interior of the country to the busiest ports of the nation. -

Welcome to Amoroff! This country is divised of many states that consist of many cities and towns. Many states make up Amoroff and it continues to grow with Sims by the scores! As of right now our population is about 1,800,000 to 2,400,000. Even I can't keep count because the population is always changing! It goes up some days, and goes down others. Amoroff has been a long lasting republic finding its begining about 1896 and since has been a slow growing country that has had wealth and prosperity since its birth. The lands of Amoroff have many natural resoures to spare and seem to be limitless! Below are links to other city journals that belong to Amoroff and it's people. City Journals from Amoroff may also be posted here as well as on my City Journal. Can someone please make the following requests if they can? The Bicentennial Tower, Erie PA. And the Bayfront Convention Center also in Erie with the hotel attached to it (only a few hundred feet from the Bicentennial Tower).

Nice work one the city, I am glad for once I am not the only one post CJs on SC13. (yes he is a mayor in Amoroff). Which city tile was this in Fairview so I can update the maps up top? This is Lancaster Pointe. And the other city Tudor Isle but what is it now?

I didn't mean to post this again, as I was organizing the CJs on the forums and categorizing the CJs on the CJ section II accidentally made it a draft and had to republish it again. -
Welcome to New Washington! City: New Washington Mayor: 14Rocket Population: 205,500 Capital of Republic of Amoroff City Specialization: Culture/Trade After my failure to provide garbage services to my previous city, I started a new region and am now attempting to make a new metropolitan city. Welcome to New Washington! I've take a few picture from the same corner of the city to show the progress of a town of nearly no people to a city of about 205,000 people in the limited tile space the new Sim City has. I also put recycling centers in my city to help prevent the same issue I had before. New Washington is the capital of the Republic of Amoroff, and has been since its founding 117 years ago. As of today it is one of the major economic powerhouses of the country, and certainly vital to the country's survival. Even though it may not be the perfect utopia, New Washington is safer, and cleaner than some of the surrounding towns and cities. Tourists flock to the capital by the thousands. With minor city problems evolving every few months, give or take, the city is able to handle any problem, while able to support its neighboring communities. These pictures are of the city in it's early town state. These pictures here are of rapid development in the city THis picture the city begins to grow a bit more with highrises starting to get higher. Willis Tower is there only because I had much money to space and it got me more money to use. New Washington begins to develop further and suddenly Willis Tower isn't so lonely in the sky anymore. The next wave of development is start up, not much has changed except for the roadways reaching into the forest. Residential and Commercial development quickly begins and a few buildings have already attempted to reach the sky. The second recycling center has been built and not blocks much of the view so now the camera climbs higher in the sky. Development begins to grow higher and higher. Taller buildings begin to fill in the downtown district around WIllis Tower. Tall buildings have now dwarfed the tallest building in the southwest corner of the city, the recycling center. This is what much of the city looks like from the northwest corner. The New Washington Fire Dept. is putting out the fire that a careless resident started. THe Empire State Building now adds to the city skyline. More buildings added themselves to the wouthwest corner of the city. This is New Washington as of now.

My professor said that most people will move to cities making arrival cities (shanty towns) around formal cities (the cities that are legitimate by most governments' standards). In other words most of the people of any developing nation such as India, Venezuela, Kenya etc. will be living in shanty cities for a long time until people are able to obtain enough money to have buildings instead of shanties. Plus the human population should level out at about 10,000,000,000 by 2050. In other words, the average city will not be as advanced as that for a 100 or so years. If you also account for rising ocean levels, the oceans would have swallowed any city along the coast, thus more shanty towns across the globe.

City: Carson Mayor: FourteenRocket / 14Rocket Population: 152,000 City Specialization: Trade/Tourism The city of Carson was founded as a trading outpost between the mining towns in the mountains, and the rest of the country surrounding the mountains. Although much of the trade has diminished, the city still is the main financial center of the region. Carson is the capital of Marshall today because of it's significance in the state's history. The city sits about one vertical mile above sea level making it one of the largest settlements at that height. Visitors can enjoy the shops and restaurants in Carson, and perhaps enjoy a football game, or they can go to one of the ferry terminals along the lake shore and take a ferry to the other side of the lake at the base of the mountains where they can enjoy the local scenery and fauna. Carson is the gateway between the coastline of Amoroff, and the natural world. Highway 23 passes through Carson, and makes 3 exits for the downtown area, a T interchange for the 4th Street Exit, a Diamond interchange for the 10 Street Exit, and a Partial Clover Leaf for the 15th Street Exit. Carson from the industrial district. Downtown Carson. Looking at Downtown Carson from the residential districts.

This weekend expect 2 or three updates, definitely Rockyway Ridge (I need to figure out a name for it), maybe another from Marshall (Granite Lake), and more than likely one from Hampton, North Hampton. I'm trying to pump these out when I can, but for now enjoy these two pictures of Rockyway Ridge.

Thanks! Thank you! -
To be quite honest I was humming the Pokémon theme song when I made that.

I'll get pictures of Beaumont and Rockyway eventually... They both use the same method to make an interstate highway system.

The Republic of Amoroff is celebrating it's 10,000th view with an odd treat. Instead of presenting the growth of a city, we from the Republic will present the death of one. How will it die? Zombies of course... the brain eatting creatures of the undead only are looking for a quick bite to eat, and Amoroff's citizens are some of the tastiest around since we're so educated. Unfortuantly for the zombies their radioactive virus renders them vunerable to sunlight due to the extra radiation being exposed to them. Welcome to Atoma! It is apart of New Washington and before the attack the population was 96,000 living souls. As day winds to an end little Timmy is taken to the local doctor for an odd flu. Its unlike any other... he is delerious and vomiting, but the weird thing is, Timmy is starting to glow green, and he has a strange craving for human brains. Little Timmy has now bitten the people inside and escaped the clinic. Zombies now roam the streets. NWPD respond to a report of riots in the suburbs. Little do they know there is not rioters, but undead hordes massing in the suburbs. Police are now being dispatched to control the situation. The police and civilians are doing everything they can to prevent the spread of this new super virus. As police shoot and kill the infected, people are advised to barricade their homes and stay off the streets, unless they must leave for their own saftey. Panic also leads to fires which NWFD can barely contain. As the night drags on reports of infected have been reported in the heavily populated area of Atoma. With most of the police responding to the reports on the west end of town, there is nothing to stop the spread the virus on the east. Amoroff Officals quarantine the city to prevent infection in any other parts of the country. Scientists have also determined that the infected has so much radiation in their systems that any more radiation exposed to them will kill them. The people of Atoma must now survive until the break of dawn. as time passes fires spread even more. BUt why? It turns out that all of the NWFD stationed in Atoma have been bited and converted to the undead. The virus has spread to every corner of the quarantined area as the undead roam neighborhood after neighborhood, looking for brains. Many people ditch their cars in the street, other use their cars to eavacuate, but the process is slow. As the night turns to day the citizens of Atoma emerge to see their homes in ruins and the ashes of the undead everywhere because the UV light from the sun killed them allin a flash. The estimated death toll is 75,000 reducing the population of Atoma to 20,000.

Welcome to town of Green Valley! Town: Green Valley, Fairview Mayor: FourteenRocket/14Rocket Population: 6,500 City Specialization: Minor Mining/Feeding grounds for zombies and Godzilla's cousin. The Town of Green Valley is a peaceful small town which is now intergrated as a suburb of Steelington. Unlike Steelington, it does not have as many factories, therefore does not have as many pollution problems, and stays true to it's name. It also gets a surge of enviromentalists every few months to protest of Steelington's industirial districts. Green Valley Also has had the misfortune of being the first settlement in Fairview to be the froint lines of a zombie invasion. However, the police force is well prepared for any situation and will protect it's citizens at any cost. The citizens take this safety and enjoy a peaceful life in this quiet suburban town. The town sits between sizable cliffs, and the Bronotiff River. Every citizen enjoys the luxuries of life here, and we invite you to stay (for your brains). Green Valley is far from the populous center of the NewWashington/Freeport metropolitian area. The second zombie invasion of 2037. Looking up at Montovian Cliffs The town below Montovian Cliffs Road to the ore mine Lizard Attack of 2037 Update: Many of the families that live in Green Valley live in Greenville

Welcome to the town of Clarkson! City: Clarkson Mayor: FourteenRocket / 14Rocket Population: 50,500 City Specialization: None Clarkson is the immediate suburb of the city of Hampton. It has a pristine beach on the oceanfront. Many of the corporate elite that run Hampton from the skyscrapers live in Clarkson. Clarkson is one of those urban sprawl suburbs that grew earlier in the 20th century having a primarily a grid system. Due to the amount of commuters in and out of Clarkson, the interstate exit to and from the city is choked with traffic. Clarkson, aside from being a suburb, has many shops and business along the main drag leading from the interstate making it a lively beach town get away as well. Hampton Blvd leading to the interstate. Many of the shops in Clarkson are on this road. At city Hall the road splits into Hampton Blvd E. and Hampton Blvd W. with many more shops. The NWRL runs through Clarkson to get to the city of New Hampton. Many residents own a piece of property on the shores of the ocean. Many people are moving into Clarkson for opportunity, with limited space many are building upwards.

Welcome to the mining town of Havenwood! City: Havenwood Mayor: FourteenRocket / 14Rocket Population: 55,500 City Specialization: Mining / Metals / Trade The town of Havenwood was founded in the late 19th century when the discovery of iron ore was made in the area. Ever since the town has had steady flow of mining and much of the ore is refined into alloy and steel. Today about 55,000 people live in the town and work in the industrial district in Havenwood. Much of the city was developed recently skywards with the middle class taking most of the skyline. Trading companies and metal companies have also dominated the skyline of the Vansburgh metro area. Much of the area is still dominated by forests on the mountain side, but choked with urban sprawl in the valley below along the lakeside. Every day many trains travel into Havenwood to deliver coal and export steel and alloy. The Hazelton Tunnel takes motorists from the residential district in the east and leads them to the downtown and industrial districts to the west. Many of the residents in Havenwood live on the foothold of the towering mountains to the south and must have to deal with hilly areas. The industrial district and business districts look over Imperial Lake on the west end of town. Trade is the main focus of the business district, but there are many shops along the lakeshore as well. Hazel Elementary looks over the city and lake down below the hillside.
