  1. Seattle transportation Pack (CXL2011)

Should look into getting CXL2011... this looks like an incredible submission. Being a Seattle-area resident, I always look for submissions that highlight my area. Looks like a job well-done. Keep up the good work!
  2. City Hall Police Station V3.0

I knew this building looked familiar! Very nice work! Being from the Seattle metro area, I have been by this building a few times. You got it pretty much smack on the nose.
  3. GLR/ T-RAM Issues

Hey everyone. Sorry I haven't got back to this. Been busy with things. I looked over the NAM FAQ and tried out the Cleanitol program on this issue and worked like a charm! Thanks again for the suggestions, couldn't have done it without them!
  4. GLR/ T-RAM Issues

I tried uninstalling and deleting the entire NAM folder, no luck, same issue. I will keep playing around with it and seeing if I can figure it out. If there are any more suggestions I'd gladly appreciate it!

I first installed NAM back in Januaray (the latest then) and had serious issues with it. I then uninstalled it; however, I think some of the files remained. After installing the newest NAM I haven't had problems except with the GLR- perhaps I may have on accident had some of those remaining files not deleted. Will let you know if that worked or not- crossing my fingers that it does!
  6. GLR/ T-RAM Issues

Yes, I got the deluxe edition. All other NAM tools work except for the GLR and T-RAM- oh and the Flexible Underpass tools!
  7. GLR/ T-RAM Issues

I have downloaded the most recent NAM (Jun. 2010) and the NAM Essentials (I believe Jan. 09) and the NAM Draggible GLR. I have all of the icons in the misc. transportation menu; however, the only one with puzzle pieces available is the main GLR which has the one-by-one puzzle pieces for straight, turns, crossings, etc. The draggable GLR doesn't work- I have watched all the tutorials available knowing that there is a starter piece and then you use the elevated rail to drag. The starter piece is not existant, its just a blank highlighted block. Even pressing tab does nothing. The same problem exists for all other icons affilated with T-RAM/ GLR such as for T-RAM in road, ave., etc. Am I missing some form of dependancy or modd that I have overlooked? I have tried re-installing all the NAM files and still no luck. Thanks for your time!
  8. Okay, I was able to remedy the problem! If you have both sides of the bridge completely level to each other, the black box does not appear! It worked beautifully in my problem area. A little more expensive than planned but a lot better than having that stupid black box ruin the asthetics of my community! :-)
  9. Ah, I completely understand there and thanks for the clarification. I tend to find that the higher the bridge (esp. if it is high enough for ferries), the problem doesn't occur. I have a bridge in another city that is naturally higher and the problem did not occur. Its definitely something to do with the slope and the pylons. I really wish I could figure out gmax and those other programs so I could try to help find a possible fix or remedy to the problem. Again, thanks for your help- it was much appreciated!
  10. Just tried your suggestion, Tarkus. It does not resolve the black box issue in my screen shot. In fact, it makes it worse. I really feel like I must be missing something, but what can it be? I definitely think you are on the right track with the pylons since it is involving the bridge slope; however, I do not understand why this issue would be involving Maxis' bridges as well- and only rail bridges- highway and all other roadways work perfectly.
  11. Great! Thanks for the speedy reply. I will try this and hope that is the issue. Its even doing this with the original Maxis bridges. Also thanks for the tidbit regarding NAM Essentials. -Sean (Frappy)
  12. Hello everyone! First, I must appologize, I am not sure if this is the correct placement of this thread or not. This is actually my first forum post on the site even though I have been here for a few years now. Upon installing the latest NAM and its essentials, I have begun experiencing a problem with rail bridges- and only rail bridges. I did a screen shot of the problem: If the photo is not viewable, here is the link: https://s820.photobucket.com/albums/zz127/Nighthawk2218/?action=view&current=Dependancy.jpg It does the same on bridges that are level on both sides as well. Is there any way I can solve this problem? Thanks! Merged this and the following several posts with another thread dealing with the same issue. -CaptCity
  13. Brick Town Hall

Don't have CXL as of yet... but saw your submission and immediately thought of the Back to the Future Courthouse/ Clocktower! Seriously... add a clock and the building gray brick and you got it! Looks like a great submission though :-)
  14. Liquor Stores

You always provide the much-needed (NIMBYist) city structures. Another great submission. Thanks!
  15. Mt Russell and the Broughton Archipelago, Canada

This is an incredibly beautiful area. I spent 2 weeks on West Craycroft (Bottom, middle island with 'finger') on an Orca Research trip. The little 'elbow' in the (Johnstone) strait is Robson Bight which is one of the world's premier places to spot Orcas. The nearest towns here are mostly First Nation villages such as Alert Bay. Telegraph Cove also resides in the region as well. Great place to visit, and definitely a challenge to develop! Thanks for sharing this map with all of us!
