  1. 9/11, man,... Has it really been that long...?

  2. NAM: Requests - 2nd Edition

    1. There was a lot-based equivalent of the GLR "Loopback" piece for Rail, El Rail, and Monorail somewhere on the STEX. Kinda ugly to drive through, but they work (for UDI only). I don't have the direct link for it, though... 2. I believe I can pinpoint the reason why ELR can't make a true 90-deg curve: It's hardcoded into this weird thing called "Realism" (Do you WANT to risk derailing yourself on such a short-radius curve, especially on an elevated network, where you have an inherent risk of falling?!!). However, the defunct ELR 90-deg thingie has been RUL'd in for more reasons than one (It's actually a diagonal RHW-4 starter).
  3. I seem to be cursed when it comes to my desk chairs; They keep breaking... =(

  4. Real Highway (RHW) - Development and Support

Multi-Level RHW is one of the long-term goals far beyond version 5.0 and it would clearly allow for multi-level interchanges. There is, however, ramp interfaces and height transitions planned for 5.0 that allow you to access the DDRHW's highest level, but they won't have any starters for taller MIS on them. For reference, the "standard" height of 15 meters is L2, ground level is L0, and DDRHW's highest deck is L3 (22.5 meters).
  5. The moment it hits September, it gets cold fast. Unless you live in the Southern Hemisphere...

      Or Phoenix. :|

      Its very un-cold here.

  6. I have NAM 29 I have switched through the elevated rail double decker road thingy using TAB to go through all the options but no station for double deckers. Or is it somewhere else? Stations are a separate download (KEEP IN MIND: The NAM does not come with any sort of TE-lot, such as transit stations). There's a few on the STEX, so I'd recommend searching there first.
  7. If you're gonna ask me about Rainbow Sheep or Rainbow Llamas,... I think I'm gonna go with Rainbow Dash. /)^ɛ^(\

  9. Corrupt a Wish Game (v4)

Done, but you don't have any pencils or any other drawing utensil to draw with... I wish I had Photoshop.
  10. What frustrates you about sim city 4

    Once again, lack of realism...
  11. Sunken Highway Issues

I had the same problem once, and it's because you DON'T HAVE the textures. I had to go to SC4Devotion just to find them. To save you from the frustration I once had, try this and see if it works. (I'm not completely sure if it'll work, but it's a texture pack that's required for another similar set of walls.) Note: You'll have to register on the LEX first. https://www.sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=1806
  12. SimCity4 How To?

Well, I have a few answers: 1. Hold down shift to disable the streets. Hold down ctrl to zone in any size. Hold down alt to switch the orientation of the zone. 2. None that I know of. The only disaster available is fire, so use the smoke detector ordinance and anything that increases fire protection. 3. SC4 Deluxe has the Rush Hour expansion pack, which includes new transportation options (Avenues, El Rail, Monorail). It is, however, a dependency for many of the mods available on Simptopolis, the most important of which is the Network Addon Mod. So if you just have Simcity 4, not Rush Hour or Deluxe, you can't use any of the good stuff here.
  13. Corrupt a Wish Game (v4)

Granted, but it shrunk in the wash. Usfighter15, if I told you about my musical immunity, you wouldn't even believe it... All that did was give me new songs to listen to, but to make it fair, I wish for pretty decent remixes of their songs instead.
  14. Corrupt a Wish Game (v4)

Done. But I burnt the lawn. And just for the record, NMUSpidey, I'm immune to Justin Bieber, which helps in taking on that onslaught. Now if I can find some way to dispose of the bodies; I guess that'd be my wish.
  15. NAM General Support

@tomass129: That could be a problem with not having the LHD Plugin on an LHD game (if you drive on the left) or having the LHD Plugin on an RHD game (if you drive on the right). You appear to be in LHD, so you'll have to re-run the NAM Installer, but make sure you select the LHD Plugin. See if that works.
  16. NAM: Requests - 2nd Edition

What does this tell you? https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/index.php?topic=1138.msg304251#msg304251 Sweet! And if that will be compatible with Moonlight's El-R Facelift Mod then I'd be in cloud nine for sure I'll have to warn you, though; I said they were possible, not being included (at least not yet). Though I would admit it would make a nice addition. It probably won't need any sort of FLiM (acronym for "Facelift Mod") because the puzzle pieces, like the other dual-networking pieces (ELR over Road, for example), have sidewalks already.

  18. What frustrates you about sim city 4

I can do just that, and still be able to run about 6 other windows. Have you tried software rendering instead? And I'd disqualify that post, too; It concerns hardware and computer specifications.
  19. What frustrates you about sim city 4

^That right there is the thing that annoys me most. Just as my city's really starting to grow, I hit the edge and have to start a new tile. I can't pack more than a few hundred thousand people into a low density city in SC4, but a low density large city in real life can have millions of people. That's part of what I mean by "Lack of realism"; Many super-dense cities take up more than just 16 square kilometres (or 6.18 square miles); That's too small (Just look at Los Angeles). And yet it never stopped people from creating hyperdense cities... They simply use multiple tiles and pass it off as one single city. SC4 is pretty much crap without ANY plugins at all, especially the realism-boosting plugins. And I agree with you.
  20. Corrupt a Wish Game (v4)

Granted. Water not included. I wish I wasn't so bored...
  21. Real Highway (RHW) - Development and Support

Technically, it's L3 MIS (The decks are at 15 and 22.5 meter heights), but that will also be added in sooner or later.
  22. Cue the droolfest...

  23. Newcomer with a couple of ?

RTMT = Road-Top Mass Transit It's a set of bus stops and subway stations that can be plopped directly on top of your road networks, as opposed to taking up a tile of valuable space that would be otherwise used for zoning. As of the game being open-ended, you can also have a rural/agricultural city and have it successful. Problem is, the game ain't really designed for it... (That's why the SimPeg Agricultural Mod was created. ) And by "You have to get rid of industrial production", Nonny Moose likely meant "You have to provide a route for freight trucks and/or freight trains to leave the city", otherwise, your city advisers will nail you. I would recommend a freight station (and a railroad line through your industrial sector) for that; It keeps your roads from being clogged by freight trucks (and it says so in the game manual, too). EDIT: Seaport; I forgot that the seaport even existed... Thanks for reminding me.
  24. Corrupt a Wish Game (v4)

Granted, but "New Yok City" doesn't register on the map, so you were dumped in the middle of the Mojave Desert instead. I wish I could move OUT of the Mojave Desert.
