It's already tomorrow in some parts of the world with respect to my part of the world: The Mojave Desert. The only means of going festive for me is cut and pasting a Santa hat to my avatar, and it's quite obvious I'm not the only one who has taken on a similar incentive... (Looks at the last three people...)

Judging by your original post, the line spacing should really be in line with that of the RHW-2 CPs. In other words, your lines are too small. If you're so caught up with getting a CP in, why not try making it into an actual puzzle piece yourself? There's a RUL0/PP Tutorial both here and SC4D. https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/index.php?topic=11023.0 I should warn you: You risk breaking the functionality of the tab rings, and many of the NAM items. This also requires knowledge of using not only an image editing program, but the Batch PNG to FSH program, the Path Editor program, the Reader, and the PP Maker. Read everything carefully.- 3,919 Replies

Something I thought was interesting: S1 E11 and S2 E11 are both winter episodes and, appropriately enough, take place in the winter (mostly, though). Why do I keep track of the trivial? -
Something I thought was interesting as a child: Blue's Clues (if you can consider that) and Little Bear (Still have some of the old cassette tapes lurking somewhere) Something I enjoyed as a child but still enjoy somewhat: Tom and Jerry (Classic cartoon violence and physical defiances FTW) Something I once watched but now despise: Scooby Doo and Looney Toons Something I now enjoy: My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic (Suitable not only for little girls and "nostalgic" mothers, but their older brothers, too) I'm not too fond with most of the old-school cartoons, only the ones that would air on Nick Jr back during the '90s because that's when I grew up.

That's what my brother said, minus the three. (I should mention, I accidentally my brother into a brony.) This is what happens when I lose track of all the new MLP episodes: My brother told me that the pegasi, unicorns, and earth ponies were at war, and I believed him. >.< >.< I know that wasn't what happened... I only listened to the audio; My eyes were somewhere else... On second thought, don't ask about where my eyes were; I can just fill in the gaps by watching Kyrospawn's database of MLP show fragments. Can't Pinkie Pie also think four-dimensionally...? If she can think outside a box, which is three-dimensional, can't she also think in a fourth dimension?!! Now I can see where this group got their theme ideas... -
Yeah, but how do they make it into a puzzle piece if they don't know how to? Even if they can, the NAM Team is the only group allowed to distribute modified RUL files (IE, the Controller, the files needed to make EVERYTHING in the NAM itself work).

A fail attempt at trying to conduct a speed-draw. What made it a fail is not only did Inkscape crash on me, but so did CamStudio. The rest of the footage I had recorded was corrupted. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tYdBsLJF6JM The image itself I was drawing out: http://g-do-29--anagram.deviantart.com/art/He-loved-Big-Brother-274639467 I wanted to show how I go about Inkscape to create pony images. There actually ain't much to my method, since most of the stuff I had planned out was already pre-drawn from my older images. All I had to do was cut, paste, recolour, resize, readjust, re-rotate, re-flip, and re-smoothen everything needed that I had drawn beforehand, and refine it into a reconstitution. The only time I need to draw something from scratch is if there's a really complicated body position, if it's a specific background item or article of clothing, if the older pieces aren't up to par in anatomic detail, or if the thing I need to draw is absolutely new. -

The point I'm NOT trying to make is that CPs replicate real-life markings. The point I'm making is that you can't have a CP that has a specific pathing function. There are pathing limitations that cannot make most of these pieces functional. Even if you can get it to have the same exact real-life functionality as its real-life counterpart for just one width, it wouldn't be the same for CPs of the same design for other widths, thereby defeating the purpose of even making that CP in the first place by having that for just one width but not all other widths. In order to add in a CP, you have to sacrifice its real-life functionality. This is what I meant by "CPs do nothing to the functionality, except make it LOOK functional." When I read your original post, I took note of the following: That, to me, meant you wanted a CP that actually does what it's supposed to do in real-life: Permit one-sided lane-changes. That cannot be done for the same CP design for different widths. ----- Consider a solid-line CP, where there is no passing permitted at all. If you tried to implement that on an 8S CP by removing all of the crossover paths on that piece, you'll actually decrease its capacity AND render it into two non-touching RHW lines, as though you had built two parallel RHW-4's in place of an RHW-8S. (The point of all those funny paths is to make two separate RHW segments work as one single network, as though it's a two-tile network.) "How do you get traffic on the inner tile/lanes onto the outer lane?" You can't, but now it reflects its real-life functionality. "Can you get it to do the same for, say, the RHW-4?" NO. "Can you still make a CP anyway?" If the purpose of CPs is to simply replicate the markings and not the functionality, then yes. If the purpose is to replicate the markings AND its functionality, then the answer would be no, simply because on a single-tile network, you can still change lanes no matter what, even without crossover paths.- 3,919 Replies

I should mention; I created something out of inspiration of your avatar... And this was during the Nightmare Night timeframe: It's an inception of inspiration. :whatevs: :whatevs: -
Curiosity is why Imagination exists. And yes, I just came up with that now, Scootaloo...

Ganaram Inukshuk replied to qurlix's topic in NAM & Transit Networks
Something to keep in mind: You can't just make CPs for just one width of RHW; If applicable, a CP type may apply to ALL widths. I should also mention something else: CPs do nothing to the functionality, except make it LOOK functional. If your CP were added, it would be no different than using other CPs or even just the plain old RHW; All RHW CPs are pathed the same way as their draggable RHW counterparts. You'll notice some RHW HOV pieces included with the RHW. Those are not functional at all; All they do is make an RHW-6C (or 8C) look nice. ----- You could theoretically re-path just the 8S CP you're talking about to make it functional, but that would be useless considering that all other CPs of the same design wouldn't be pathed the same way.- 3,919 Replies

Granted, but since you got the numbering wrong, you got NAM Version 4 (That's like 2006 stuff, man!!!). The next version is Version 31, not 4.0. I wish I could make an inception joke.
-
Granted, but now the school day lasts longer. Granted, but you're colour-blind. ----- Now I wish I could draw how THAT would turn out... Ironic, you're a multi-coloured a pegasus-pony, and you don't even know your colours. I wish I'd keep up with this thread; Look at the mess I made...

I can. It adds a lane change restriction so it's a one-way lane change; You can go into the decel lane but you're not permitted to get out of it. From what I can see, it's somewhat to a solid line, but still allows last-minute lane-changers to exit.- 3,919 Replies

Project 0E has nothing to do with making new networks; It's just moving and reorganising the current RUL and IID scheme. However, it lays down the necessary IID/RUL structure for other networks of different heights and widths to be added when needed. ----- Plus, which ERHW-3 are you talking about? There are four different elevated heights planned: L1 to L4. And it's the number zero, not the letter "O".- 3,919 Replies

Not granted. Instead, mc12345's wish has been granted to you. I wish it weren't so cold.

Why should the person above you be banned?
Ganaram Inukshuk replied to Duke87's topic in Forum Games
Banned for being associated with rainbow llamas, not rainbow ponies. -
Granted. Now Princess Celestia is confused (and homeless, and so are you). I wish for something made of silicon.

Are your referring to the MAVE-6? (They'll likely be renamed to RD-6 later on...) Ideally, the AVE-4 and TLA-5 should have the same capacity (and that's how it was at one point), but because of how the DIP effect works on the TLA-5, it has more capacity than an AVE-4, and also has the same capacity as the RD-6. What's the DIP effect, you ask? All intersections have 25% more capacity than most of the other tiles, and intersections are defined as a network tile with paths coming out of at least three of the edges. Add dummy paths to the RD-6, RD-3, NRD-4, and RHW-6S, and you can trick the game into giving these networks a higher capacity. However, networks that have TLA effects and crossover paths (IE, TLA-3, TLA-5, AVE-6, TLA-7, OWR-4, OWR-5, and RHW-6C and 8S and above) will also exhibit the DIP effect because of how they're pathed. The TLA paths are a part of the TLA's functionality (you'll see cars make left turns in the middle of the road), and the crossover paths ensure proper functionality of wider networks (without them, each tile will act as completely separate networks). So the TLA-5 having the same capacity as the RD-6 is a side effect of giving the RD-6 and other networks more capacity. There's really no way to determine a network tile's capacity by the number of lanes; All the values are preset.

If you can find the actual WaterMinAlpha value and set that to 0 (which was the default value), you're pretty much good to go.
