  1. some progress in Thirsten

I'd say a small resort town, with a focus on nature. Think Paeng stuff.
  2. Phone just broke by itself, simply by leaving it in my pocket. Great.

      Monster's Cat

My phone is 3 years old and it's power button and software is starting to fail.

4625: Has anyone said Virgin Islands yet?
  4. This post hasn't been touched in 18 months. Please don't post in such old topics. You are welcome to start a new thread if you wish.
  5. The Simtropolis Closet Thread - deux!

No, I didn't attend that one but I had a couple of mates who were considering it (got to ask them if they did). I would probably just use it as an excuse to dress up in leather hahaha I saw some social media posts from the Country Fire Authority and the Vic Police in attendance, with the odd comment about how they are a waste of taxpayers money attending (there's always someone who will find an excuse to lash out).
  6. Show us your Bridges

I know how to make curved bridges, but not FARHW...

4617? My girlfriends family come from Zimbabwe, so naturally she's got some of those 200 trillion dollar notes lying around. Meanwhile with the Queensland election, just about everyone is cringing at trying to pronounce the new Premiers name: Annastacia Palaszczuk. (it's pronounced pala shay)
  8. Show us your Small Towns

Reminded me of when I visited Checkpoint Charlie in Berlin..
  9. Ask a forumer anything...

Because of the freedom and art of creating a city in your bedroom, it's cheaper than toy trains and the attachment I get to my neighbourhoods. Least favourite country you've visited?
  10. The 10,000 Post thread V3

4600: We are also getting cold weather here too. Although it's not as extreme as the US, it is about mid-high 10s when it should be high 30s - low 40s.
  11. Funny pictures

But Chuck Norris was born in 1940.

Nice to see you back on the scene James!

  14. Hey all, I was wondering if there was perhaps a tree controller out there that was made almost exclusively of Girafe trees, using his trees such as larches, maple, subalpine fir, lindens etc. I currently use a mix of those in my city and it would be great if there was a controller to help me out on the larger areas.
  15. While the airport is being built...

Nice to put a face to the avatar :D I especially love the two storey houses with the small garden/park there. You've thought of everyone!

  17. Ask a forumer anything...

Unfortunately it's not available in Australia. I'd get it if it does become so. What's the best thing exclusive to your country?
  18. Ask a forumer anything...

IF a PS4 counts, then yes. But no dedicated player. Have you seen the TV show Weeds? I'm hooked on it! (Pun not intended, hahah.)
  19. Note to self: when you have a bad dream, don't react by punching your sleeping girlfriend :P

    1. Terring

      Terring

When I have a bad dream and I can't control it, I simply refuse to overwhelm me. If a nightmare attacks me, I troll it by shielding myself.

      cmdp123789

Well.. Punching pour girlfriend will only lead to another nightmare, only this time, it will be real :P

    3. KonstantinII

      KonstantinII

Yeah lucid dreaming! Turn the monster in the nightmare into a fluffy plush toy. Levitate above the ground. Create an environment for myself to explore.

  20. The Existence of God

I don't believe the Bermuda Triangle has anything inherently superstitious about it. It is a fairly large area of sea and the amount of shipwrecks for the area is normal compared to the rest of the world. The "crazy magnets" weren't crazy at all; rather the pilots flying over misidentified islands and this conflicted with the bearings shown on their compasses.
  21. The Existence of God

That is the old "the universe is too complex to have happened by chance" argument, and it does not prove the existence of a god. It is an opinion. If this was an actual proof of the existence of a god, Intelligent Design (or some variant of it) would be taught as the sole theory on the origin of the universe. Ah yes, I know it as the "Watchmaker Theory". I tend to argue against it by saying that if you put all the pieces needed to make a watch in a box and shake it for a very long time, the pieces will eventually fall into place.
  22. The Simtropolis Closet Thread - deux!

Why Norfolk Island of all places here?
  23. What challenges would you like to see?

I think best river to sea transitions would be great to see, as would best mountain shot and best "suburbia" (with the cul-de-sacs)
  24. Show us Your Interchanges!

    It looks like a crab!
  25. Target leaves Canada, Sony follows suit...

Big W isn't linked to Walmart, rather Woolworths. (I'll still call it safeway, no one is changing my ways!) I take it in Canada there is a big sense of regional pride and hence people will prefer to shop at locally owned stores or Canadian chains?
