Palmerston North, Home of Immediate Past el Presidente
joelyboy911 commented on drunkapple's file in Maps
I would be in square 4 across, 5 down. I've also lived in some of the other squares over time. The map is good like this, but the other option would be to rotate it 30 degrees anti-clockwise, to align with the main grid of Palmerston North city (the region was lucky to get some skilled town planners in the early days - shame today's subdividers hate straight lines). -

Here is a set of 6 wall to wall corner banks, featuring the branding of 6 banks originating in Australia and New Zealand: ANZ, BNZ, Commonwealth Bank, National Bank, SunCorp and Westpac. They are growable only and there are two types of lot, a 2x2 corner and a 2x3 lot with a parking area at the rear. The buildings are in a building family, so the bank you grow in your city is at random. The building is inspired by an ANZ Bank branch in Palmerston North, New Zealand. Here are the stats: Lot size: 2x2 tiles 2x3 tiles Building style(s): Houston, Euro Growth stage: 5 Occupants: CS$$ 97 CS$ 380 Bulldoze cost: §202 Worth: §202 Construction Time: 20 days Max. Fire Stage: 3 Power consumption: 8 MWh/month Water consumption: 95 Gallons/month Air pollution: 3 over 5 tiles Water pollution: 2 over 6 tiles Garbage pollution: 4 over 0 tiles Enjoy! -
@MasterBuilder - I've never looked at Seattle-Tacoma airport to know what it's like, but your recreation of it looks like a well laid-out airport - good job! I'd also like to clear up this talk about the airbusses. I modelled the Airbus A300 to real-life scale in GMAX - it really is that size. The Airbus A300-600 and Airbus A300B2 are all the same length. The difference is in the engines, avionics and the shaping of the tail-section of the fuselage. It is a medium-range, widebodied aircraft. Also everyone should know that the Airbus A300 was the original Airbus model. The A310 is a shortened version, and the A330 and A340 share its fuselage cross-section as well as its cockpit section and other similar features. No offence Zahrul, but I know what I'm talking about. I did the research before BATting the plane.

Yeah, the jetway isn't perfect. Look for improvements in the following aircraft series. I'll be making the A310, A330 and A340. The 330 and 340 are the modern ones, so I'm expecting to perfect the modelling of those ones, expecially the texturing and jetways. Thanks Diz

I went back to an airport I built many moons ago to test out my new Airbus A300 lots. Here is the resulting terminal area: HD close-up of the gate: HD close-up of the MMP: Zoom 5 of the gate next to a 747: Overview:

I beg to differ, un1, the 737 gates are made for Narrowbody Aircraft, which is A320 and 737. The 747 gates are made for widebody jets, which means anything bigger than a 767. The A330 and A340 are certainly right for the 747 textures. Their wings would overhang the gate boundary, which defeats the purpose of having the boundary in the first place. Anyway, the lots look nice, kingdiz_55, I'll give you 4/5. To get my 5/5, custom icons would be necessary. Still a great job.

Here it is. At long last I am able to make public the lotted set of the ATR-72 and ATR-42 planes that have been WIP for nearly 7 months. Simply put, they are lotted on turning circles - the planes, along with some people props and baggage carts. They'll appear at or near the bottom of the airport menu and will, when queried show the maxis park query screen. Regrettably, the lots are not of the upmost quality, but it would have been a shame to not release what I have done so far. It is also regrettable that the Zoom6HD versions are not available at this time. Please be aware that in due course I will be BATting these planes again, to ensure a higher quality and a greater degree of accuracy. Only one dependency is needed - the RMIP. It is a functional dependency, as the lots won't be able to connect to taxiways without it, but it also supplies the base ground textures. The prop dependency is included. Many thanks to Driftmaster07 and Adroman - without their help this project wouldn't be on the STEX today. -

Click here to go to my full update, in the Thames District on SC4D Included in that update, are more pictures, including an overview high-resolution composite view of the airport. (just a fancy way of saying, I took a bunch of small pictures, and joined them together to make on big one). Also included is more information about the planes. Especially the 737s, but also a few A320s. These aren't by the AC team, but to find out more, you can click the above link. Any comments, here or there are much appreciated. The update includes a pictorial history of the airport. There are too many pictures to post here. Enjoy!

I could upload the props of the Convairs and the P-3K Orion soon I suppose. But the BAe Jetstream and Dash-8 prop packs will be released in their project's finished prop packs. If it interests you, I have made plenty of American planes as well, like United, Continental and Frontier for the Dash-8s and United and Pan-Am Clipper Connection for the Jetstreams. I have school end-of-year exams on at the moment, which will be over next week. Then, I will have plenty of time to work on them, and I expect to release the prop pack within a few weeks.

I've been working on these repaints for srainy's planes. I know Air New Zealand has ordered the 787-9, but there is in fact a possibility for Boeing to lease Air NZ some of the 787-8 as compensation for the heavy delays on the 787-9 project - so... its still a bit true-to-life.

https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/index.php?board=267.0 There's your SCAG linkie. Its our creations forum at our Team Room at SC4D, you can also see there the other projects: 777, 767, 727, MD-90. The planes are a work in progress, they will be uploaded when the project is complete, to both the STEX and the SC4D LEX. Just not yet

No, airports can have as many or as few runways and terminals as you want. Here in New Zealand, even the largest and busiest airport only has one runway (though a second is under construction), and 2 terminals (International and Domestic). Plus, regional/provincial airports, and its nice to see what people are doing when it comes to those. I always thought a lot of attention was paid big jets, but none to turboprops (tabi's dash-8s were the only ones available) so I started the SCAG Turboprops project. Anyway, look forward to seeing more super-cool airports here soon. @thepokemaniac Of the RNZAF 757, no Of the P-3K Orion, and Convairs, maybe. I didn't make the model, so I don't know how that would go down, legally Of the Dash-8 and Jetstream, Yes. They should be on the STEX before the year's end.

Royal New Zealand Air Force. 757-200 Air Freight NZ. Convair CV580 and CV5800. DHL. 757-200 Air New Zealand Link (Air Nelson). DHC Dash-8-300Q. RNZAF. 757-200. Lockheed P-3K Orion. Virgin Blue. 737-800. 737-700. Origin Pacific Airways. BAe Jetstream J31. Some shots of my regional airport/small air force base in my region, Thames (you can see it at SC4D). Made some of the planes myself, (since I batted the DHC Dash-8 and BAe Jetstreams as a part of SCAG). The others, I made from gmax source models found on the internet (except the ones by AC team). If you want to see more stuff about it, you'll have to go to SC4D, I'm afraid. I'll be showing an overview of the airport, plus night shots more planes etc. in my next update to the MD. I might show it here as well.

League of Nations is a recently created CJ and MD union. Included here are the custom flags of its members: Isporos, Jiesan, Lower Columbia, Shienar and Atrubia as well as the flag of the League itsself. If you want to use one of these flags (not that we expect many people will want other peoples' flags, but whatever) you must put them on a lot in Lot Editor yourself. I will also make custom CJ flags of any new members to the League. The LoN forums can be found here: leagueofnations.freeforums.org The flags have been rendered in High Definition, using the updated scripts by SimFox. I beleive (though I may be mistaken) that these are the first HD Flags to be released. That is perhaps the only thing special about them. Also, they hang down more than some other flags - perhaps the day is less windy? They are modded with a special hover over query (not that special, really) that allows you to check, in-game, precisely which flag is being used. Do not upload anywhere or distribute any whole or part of this file without the permission of me, Joelyboy911. If you ask nicely, and give a decent reason why, I won't say no. Otherwise, if you make a lot with one of these flags on it, you must link users to this download. To Install, simply unzip the file into your plugins folder. More flags will be uploaded in the coming days, weeks and months. -

This is a set containing 5 flags, those that belong to Northern European countries, and use the Nordic Cross design. They are: Iceland, Denmark, Sweden, Finland and Norway. This package only contains the props, you must lot them yourself, if you wish to see them in game. The flags have been rendered in High Definition, using the updated scripts by SimFox. I beleive (though I may be mistaken) that these are the first HD Flags to be released. That is perhaps the only thing special about them. Also, they hang down more than some other flags - perhaps the day is less windy? They are modded with a special hover over query (not that special, really) so that when you hover the query tool over the flag, it will tell you which flag you're looking at. In this file, as in the last, I have included the LTEXTS in a seperate .DAT. This means that if you want to translate the queries, you can get at them very easily. Do not upload anywhere or distribute any whole or part of this file without the permission of me, Joelyboy911. If you ask nicely, and give a decent reason why, I won't say no. In the case of uploading them at a site that uses a different language, if you translate the queries, I will almost certainly grant you permission. Otherwise, if you make a lot with one of these flags on it, you must link users to this download. To Install, simply unzip the file into your plugins folder. Look out for more of my flags here on the STEX soon. -

This is a set (the second of a series) of 7 flags: The African Union, European Union, N.A.T.O, British Commonwealth, Francophonie, United Nations and the Olympic Games. These are international organisations and Unions. I may have missed some, however. Once again, these are just props, no lots are included. You can do that yourself. The flags have been rendered in High Definition, using the updated scripts by SimFox. I beleive (though I may be mistaken) that these are the first HD Flags to be released. That is perhaps the only thing special about them. Also, they hang down more than some other flags - perhaps the day is less windy? They are modded with a special hover over query (not that special, really) that allows you to check, in-game, precisely which flag is being used. I have included the LTEXT files in a seperate .DAT here, so if someone wants to traslate these queries, they can. Do not upload anywhere or distribute any whole or part of this file without the permission of me, Joelyboy911. If you ask nicely, and give a decent reason why, I won't say no. Especially if you want to translate the queries and upload to a site with a different language. Otherwise, if you make a lot with one of these flags on it, you must link users to this download. To Install, simply unzip the file into your plugins folder. More flags will be uploaded in the coming days, weeks and months.- 5 Comments
