I thought that I would show you guys what I accomplished thanks to Simtropolis, here is my first city, pre-simtropolis, Halifax. Not bad when you consider I had no real plan for development and I was using the autozoning tool to lay out roads because I didn't know you could turn in off. Here is my best city so far post-simtropolis, not only did I get tons of new buildings and the nam and countless other useful things, but I got ideas, and I finally came to the realization that no major city is only 16 square kilometers. Anyways, that is Port Karn, its still not done yet, I've been sidetracked on other projects which hopefully will come out even better!

Thats some pretty good sprawl to acheive without a highway system, but I guess that rail network you have makes up for it. Nice work

I recently got a new laptop for my graduation present and promptly put sim city deluxe and all of my cities and plugins on it. For about a week it all worked perfectly and smoothly. Then suddenly the computer just stopped recognizing the play cd, and whenever I try to load the game it says "Please insert the SimCity 4 Deluxe play disk, select OK and resart the game". After trying to clean the cd and receiving the same message I tried the disk on my old computer, where it worked perfectly. What is going on? If anybody can help I would greatly appreciate it

I've tried other games on the new computer and they worked fine, its only the SimCity cd that has the problem

do you have parks or rewards to deal with the demand caps? You'll need all of those things to expand your cities, and neighbor connections are good ideas too

its definitely possible. I almost always start my cities by laying out the major road and railways and then building off of and around them. And yes, money trees do grow in my regions. But it is possible, if you plan on laying out every road and transit line it might get boring but you can do it

flying_scarecrow, thats quite an improvement, in picture quality and layout! I remember when I first started I just zoned high density and tried to get skyscrapers, on a boring grid as well. Its amazing how things that the NAM can improve the game
