whats wrong with the rail? -
download the rural highway then smooth curves are somewhere in the menus access them and switch to the next pieces with TAB button (on your keyboard) this is possible with the maxis highways, download the network addon mod then its under custom interchanges, agin use TAB to cycle through until you find it. Hope this helps.

monorail-elevated highway crossing?
thefunktopus replied to zippy995's topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
on the nam there is someting called high monoraIl puzzle pieces. use these to cross. or u could make a short section ground and let monorail cross there -
lol did u teake these urself? they're nice but if u used sc4 pics it would be better

you probably wont wanna do this but i experienced my first riot yesterday, demolished completely (except roads and rails) a city with good civic services then built another, which was lacking.

Intermission
thefunktopus commented on Vigilante1987's City Journal Entry in Sanderra: Bringing Life to a Desert World
the farms between the cities are nice, but i think you could improve them by changing the roads to streets, possibly using the SAM, maybe the dirt or gravel roads. -

Fire Plane never lands
thefunktopus replied to nathanscottdaniels's topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
the fire plane is stupid, but strangely i never have fires. i had this problem cuz i dispatched the plane for fun (lol im sad) and it got stuck. just place lots and lots of fire stations and they can deal with it. -
In the game there is a mode of transportation called the monorail, however when placed the monorail has two rails. Does mono not mean singular? Have Maxis made a mistake?

Delta, a closer look
thefunktopus commented on Sepen77's City Journal Entry in Delta Democratic Nation
its quite good but more parks and treesw would help it look more real, also the massive skyscrapers surrounded by ungalows (last pic) doesn't look realistic. it would be a good idea to leave spaces between the houses which you could plonk trees, and in time this would be useful for new streets/ traintracks.
