Think of it as a Central Post Office. Trucks deliver mail from the city, Posties sort it for the trains, then it gets shipped out of the city. This Lot is an good concept and as such deserves a good rating. If you rate low because you don't like a concept you are devaluing the ratings process.

...But, I would prefer there to be less space around the base of the building, though I understand why it is there. Maybe a version with one or two parallel lines so no need for open ground on all sides of the building? Nice anyway. I will download.

Well it may not be much use for the downtown in country towns, but it is designed to be plopped in a city with skyscapers. You got no skyscrapers? Then plop something else. Simple. In Sydney the rail line travels under the city. Stations are built under tall buildings. So... V. Realistic.
Hey folks, don't knock the doughnut and roof. They're accurate depictions of the real thing and the best part of the castle. Only a fool leans over a bare wall to drop rocks on people. Clever people built some cover and wet it down to prevent fires. Good building. Needs a little more fine detail
Why is it a 1.78Mb download Mr fgottes? Has it got any custom content, or does it include gizmo28's props inside? Do you have any constructive advice for Yugioh, or a better description of the contents for those of us you have put off of downloading this?

Hey, it's a comment. Looks like you needed one. Packaging your lots is good, I guess, but we end up with small piccies that leave us still wondering what the lots look like. Maybe packs of two related buildings rather than 5?
There ya go. Pkmnrulz240 downloaded this, and says it's shite. So, back to you Yugioh. Are we going to get a portside freightyard, or what? You do have this working in your game, don't you? It's a basic requirement for uploading lots. Delaying my download and rating til you get it together.
I can believe 9 highly intelligent people downloaded this to see what it is like in game before rating it. I will wait for them to report back here. It "might" be the cleverest raiyard you ever saw. It might be a shore depot. Of course, it might also be total "not much good" :-)

What we really need is three or four variations of this (or a version with some random features) and transport enabled so that we can lay out a bunch of these together with minimal stretches of road or street between them so that we can get that real midlands city feel of terrace after terrace.

I like the original line of thought that produces these "ugly" lots. To expand the horizons of the game is not childish, it shows a certain maturity. Congratulations on a different approach to the game. I will try and ugly city on a one-off basis. Don't get drawn into swapping insults though.

Unfortunately to me the roof makes this look like three overlapped copies of the same building. Now we know that is what it is, but I don't want it to be so obvious each time I look at the building in the game. can you do something to fix it?

I wouldn't buy a horse without looking in it's mouth (to see if the light shines through any holes in the body) and I wouldn't buy a hospital sight unseen, unless on the recommendation of a responsible buddy. So all you responsible types who have downloaded it... Is this any good?

You were going to get a 9 for the interesting ways you can set this up with other transport modes. I was disappointed not to be able to hook the roads up. Now that is fixed you get a 10. Excellent.
Thanks for the update with pictures Joerg. On a slow system you wouldn't believe how painful checking all your interesting water textures is when you only have the game itself to look at them in. This sort of extra service is the difference between a good piece of work and a legend.

So this pops up in a commercial zone automatically? Seems like it should be a unique lot. Won't it look strange if you have 15 or more of these appear throughout your city? Can you make it ploppable instead?
Freight blocking is a bloody good idea. I try to keep my networks seperate but how do you cross them to join to all 4 map edges without having freight joing passenger lines? Either the rail over a tunnel idea, or.... Freight blocking. Thankyou.

It's great, but can you get rid of some of those animals? They slowed my city to a crawl. The buildings are excellent, but it is nearly impossible to add these lots to any city I haven't finished building. If you can't change the lots do you have any suggestions to reduce the impact of the animals?
