Great job Mr. Beer....This CJ just keeps getting better! It was good of you to dedicate this CJ to the hurricane victims. For those of you who were wondering, the real Baton Rouge did not get any major damage from Hurricane Katrina. I have relatives that live there who did not even lose power, although some parts of BR did. However, Baton Rouge did nearly double in population due to the influx of evacuees from the New Orleans area. The traffic is horrendous, hotels are booked solid, homes are selling fast, and stores are having trouble keeping things on the shelves! Talk about crazy!!! [:0] I have many relatives and friends who live in the affected areas, so I'm definitely praying for all those in New Orleans and along the Gulf Coast who have lost their homes, businesses, jobs, and even their lives or loved ones in this catastrophic storm. And I urge everyone to support those victims by donating to the American Red Cross or any other charity benifitting hurricane relief.

To schlenn: thanks man! I'm glad to meet you! (Je suis heureux de te connaître, if you speak french)!quote> Sorry, je ne parle pas francais (that's about as good as my french gets, and I had to look that up!), but my Cajun ancestors did! I really am enjoying this journal. I also like the way you put a lot of green space between your buildings. I have a tendency to fill up as much empty space as I can, but the results usually aren't quite as attractive as yours. Nice work! About the terrain...did you custom-make it yourself, or did you download it from somewhere? I can't find a Baton Rouge map on Simtropolis.

As a native of Thibodaux, LA, with family in the Baton Rouge area, it was nice to see this CJ! It made me feel (almost) at home. Great job so far! The shopping areas and oil refineries look so realistic! I look forward to seeing more updates.
