I came up with a way to do a Avenue with GLR under a highway:

Real Highway (RHW) - Development and Support
azninoverdrive replied to qurlix's topic in NAM & Transit Networks
Hey Haljackey, yes, what is in the picture is the muliti RHW, you taught, but I just wanted to point out the avenue connection. I don't recall anyone else on that. However, for everyone, multi avenues requires more than that, because avenues aren't side by side able like RHW. So the RHW 8 guide is strictly for RHW. Avenues work, except only going straight like that, you can't curve avenues because what I did was without any modding. So unlike RHW, they won't be able to turn and stay split. Yoshiland, and anyone else ?-ing, ATL means added turn lane, and is some wierd thing that customizes the network in the next NAM, not the one now, but in the future. I will have to say though, with RHW 13 B it does work a little differently, because I didn't follow the guide exactly. I laid out the avenues like you would in the RHW guide, but then I connected RHW to them afterward, and the game automatically laid out the RHW correctly to 8 lanes, rather than having to edit those in addition to the avenue.- 3,919 Replies

Real Highway (RHW) - Development and Support

Hopefully those textures get released for us. Hey look at this, I've figured out the 8 lane avenue to RHW transition, without ATL. Just see:- 3,919 Replies

Ok, heres what I noticed with the nam, why are the hidden split avenue intersections not possible? Are we ever going to see double left turn lanes, or other types of turn lanes?

Ahh, yes the good ol' no car zot. When you first put in a road, the game's transit routes are all reset, and when you hover over the road, with the ?, it usually says traffic: none. For whatever reason, this will always happen, no matter the transit network. It should take one month, yes thats right one month, until it corrects itself in regular play speed at most. It should vanish then. You want a real issue with roads, look at this.

I'm sorry if this has been posted as well, but as far as road/avenue puzzle pieces, which are elevated already and can go in the water, at least on mine, could you make seperate road puzzle pieces just like those, except big enough for ferries to pass through? The only diagonal bridges existing in game, are the puzzle pieces.

Yeah, about those glitches, what the? I didn't think you could put two pieces, or three for that matter, next to each other, without getting a red lock square. Nice. The old 4 lane road is good for cars parking in commercial areas, its too bad roads can't be transit enabled on the sides, I will have to question about the sidewalk though. Otherwise, it looks like SimCity Societies road system.

A sucessful attempt to change the default game traffic light configuration. After testing, it will NOT cause problems with the NAM, so that is why this is a LOT file. It was to get the lights to work on the same pole, at different heights, and to see if they would react properly across from each other. It seems they do, so long this LOT is placed with roads crossing through You can find it in the misc transit menu. The street lighting and the traffic lights DO work. Just make sure you place roads through, if its by itself, all of the lights will get stuck on green, but you don't want another repeat of live free or die hard, and the italian job, do you? You will notice that this looks quite similar to the California style intersection. Unfortanetly, it had to be changed, because I didn't want dependencies to be an issue. As far as dependencies, I don't think there is an issue, I just used a regular base road texture, and a plain road overlay. Oh yeah, I don't recomend you open the file yourself in the LOT Editor. -

Korea already has 80 gb, still a little less money than America. However, when the 80 gb PS3 comes to the US, in August you will get a suprise with it, thats usually an extra 60 dollars. I'd get it, I need a cheap BLu Ray player.

If your looking for Avenue Turn Lanes, other than the ones before cross roads in the NAM, you won't find them here. Turn Lanes on straight aways, the TLA, not availble, yet. There is a 2 way left turn lane mod, which makes NAM's Intersection Avenue Turn Lanes look American, and gets rid of medians, and replaces it with what looks like a center turn lane on straight aways, but I found it to cause problems with the June NAM.

In Illinois, in the Chicago Land, there is only 2 way frontage roads on both sides of the highways. These ways are either, closed, deserted, or redone, but mostly they are not so popular. They use to go real far, as an alternative, but they don't want to it that way, because it either doesn't make sense, or they want people to get stuck taking the tollways, paying $1 an axele per vehicle. I saw this one frontage road with a 45 mph speed limit sign, but in 1 block, it dead ended. When they do re route the frontage roads, its a pain in the big gas, because they'll drag them out longer, to divert traffic, and then lower the speed limit.

Well the textures are good, but how come the signs and traffic lights are on the wrong side of the road?

What I've done to solve problems with the June NAM. The only way I got mine to work is to rename plugins, to plugins1, and then do a new plugins folder, completely empty, but then installing the nam AGAIN, into this blank folder, with all features selected. Then, and only then, will you see the dragable GLR, Avenue Intersections, and all that jazz, once you start playing. Yes I know all the lots that were in your plugins which will be missing once you do this will look really weird as either boxes or tall buildings, but its worth it. I just edit the roads and rails, and then leave the game. From there, I then rename plugins to pluginN, and then rename plugins1, back to plugins. I play the game again. I then have all my missing buildings back, even though I can't get the game to do stuff like dragable GLR, and Avenue Puzzle pieces anymore, but the remaining ones already plopped still show. Just repeat this multiple times, I gurantee it will work. THE ONLY THING IS DO NOT PLOP THE AVENUE Y, at all, after testing, I found it will crash your game.

Question: How do you make a Roundabout?
azninoverdrive replied to CowboySean's topic in NAM & Transit Networks
Do not try to do a road roundabout in a big o, it only works as a four square, not 8. However, a one way road drawn as an 8 piece circle turns into a road roundabout, it should work. I also know, features that should work in the NAM but don't are interfered by other plugins in the folder. I have to rename the plugins folder, so the game avoids it, and then add a new plugins folder, with just the NAM, nothing else and then features like roundabouts work. Then I have to arrange it back again. This is the only way I get my NAM to work.
