I like what the Missouri Mod did for the river bed, looks more natural(I think of sand at the beach, not the mnts). I wonder if a shade darker wouldn't look even better? The Olympic Mod, I do like the color of those(better looking at a distance). I would probably chose to use those on an new developing island chain(just a thought for you islanders). The Painted Desert if I was working (obviously)........... .....a Desert region? I prefer dark chocolate instead of vanilla. E

Choices, choices, choices.....argh! Ok, just kidding. First I think I will address the first update you posted today, well um, yesterday by my clock...lol. I love the idea of having seasons, especially after living in a few regions of the world that only have two (hot or hotter) (wet or dry) (cold or colder)....or like Virginia (can't make up its mind, ah the coastal life). Anyway on to my point, I noticed that when you were placing trees that you had them placed away from the water and still as far as I could see there were seasonal trees near the water with no changes, please correct me if I am wrong, I am blind as a bat without my glasses(where did I put those darn things). I guess what I am trying to say is that even these trees change their leaves and that even with all the evergreen types(I am no tree expert here...lol) there are always seasonal trees butting up against the water ways. So, I think a mix in this area is needed for more realistic look during season changes. You have to excuse me if I have babbled on and not made sense, I can try to explain better if needed. Now on to this rock choice, agh. I don't know how many mods you are using to demonstrate the different textures, I am guessing at least three. Now realizing that I am looking at close ups and it would look different from afar, there are 3 of them I would have chosen to use depending on the rocks of the region I was depicking(sp). That would have been 2, 4, or 6. They have the most realist look to them, the others look like just a texture to me(no offense to the mod makers here, lots of hard work goes into them I am sure). I think I would use #6 for your region, considering I have seen what the formations in and around the Alaska area look like and use #2 or #4 for any of the regions in the lower 48. Just an opinion and we all know what those are like. Until next time. E

Hi, I have been a lurker on this CJ for about a week now. That is how long it has taken me to read through the entire thing (actually glued to this thing). Since I started reading from way back at the beginning a week ago, I haven't even opened up my Sim City...lol. I am amazed at the wealth of information in your CJ. I have had to sit and rethink my entire approach to creating. The spectacular images you have provided and the plethera information is amazing, you truly are a credit to CJing. The thought even occured to me that I have bonded to this CJ is that I have spent time in Alaska, spent my first honeymoon in Anchorage...lol. I love all the pictures you have post and it runs me down memory lane and reminds me how beautiful it was to see in person. I have looked up one place I visited while there and noticed it was definately not the same, Earthquake Park(it was barrin when I saw it (looked for pics...grr..don't know where put them) you could still see tops outlines of houses when I visited, it is all grown up with trees now(as seen on Google). Ahhh, missing the untouched landscape of Alaska(Adak 1990-1991). Moving right along, thank you for all you have/are doing with this CJ, it has inspired me, given me tips on terraforming, organizing my plugin folder, ideas on scaling, and some laughs along the way. I will be following it closely(promise to come out of lurking more often). Again, thank you for the wonderful ride through the Three Rivers Region to date, looking forward to your next update. E

Hello SimTropolis, I hail from Virginia Beach and I have been lurking around for abit, just getting the feel for the forums. I have to admit it is abit overwhelming with all the information here, though I seem to be a little behind the times with the game, to say the least(game almost 4 years old and I just bought it...hehe). I have loved the Sim games from the start, I have been playing them off and on since the Original came out(gotta love those little red cars). I also like to play FPS like the entire Doom series, Quake series, UT, Far Cry and probably a few more that I don't play that often. I am a Senior Helpdesk Technician with a A.A.S in Network Administration working on my B.S. in Network Security. Feel like I have been working on that forever and still not done. I have been in and around working with computers for about 16 years now. Started fixing and building them in the Navy before I even owned one, now I own 5 and addicted to them...lol. I have jumped right on in and started trying my hand at BAT, figured if I could work in Bryce, I could figure this one out. Looks like loads of fun. Wish me luck..lol. Hope to meet some great people here and make some new friends. Have a Happy SimTropolis Day!
