Thanks for all the kind words everyone! Image Shack is still down so I loaded them up at photobucket. Here are the rest of the pics. 01-06: 01-07: 01-08: The Maxis Seaport will be replaced eventually. 01-09: This is what the El line looks like with a higher fence. It looks more like ground rail now I think. What do you think looked better ~ higher fence or lower fence? That's it for now. I am going to try and finish up the Eastneck line later this evening. I'll respond to all your posts then. Thanks for the input and suggestions so far!

I have been following this CJ for some time now and its about time I responded. I like what you have done so far! You definately have your own style going on here. Some of the sloping seen in previous pages could be better but I have seen some improvements made in the last update. Nice pathways and use of the PED tiles as well. I like the mediteranian look and feel you have going on. Keep up the good work and I look forward to seeing more from you!

LP ~ Nice medium residential area! 8.5/10. As far as the streetlights you are right there were too many. I have since removed most of them. aaronperry ~ The rail yard is the original lot that I designed and uploaded to the STEX. I know 2000 or more people downloaded it but I have not seen very many pics of it. Just too keep things rollong along here is another industrial night shot:

ilikehotdogsalot ~ I like it but as ACE mentioned the refinery has to go. 7.5/10 ACEfanatic ~ The pic looks too dark. Too many duplicate buildings for my taste. 6.5/10 Here is another industry pic of a railyard:

Ok I have more time now to get involved. From the previous page: emelin ~ Nice port but not enough detail for my tastes - 7/10 capitol1 ~ The area is not finished. The sloping of the ave. could be improved. - 6/10 aaronperry ~ Very nice industrial area! It looks perfect to me. - 10/10 El Burro ~ Nice layout and close-up but overshopped. - 7/10 Aleking ~ Excellent sunken hwy with realistic traffic. Nice placement of the residential towers. - 9/10. 10/10 for the linked pic though! LP ~ The park and surrounding area looks beatiful. Nice work! - 10/10 aaronperry ~ Interesting. - 7/10 crazychickensc12. It does look like AK's work but perfect none the less. I give it a 9/10 because its unfinished. LP ~ Its OK. I know you have better. 7.5/10 Ok here is a night pic of some heavy industry from my Glen Harbor CJ.
  6. Three Rivers Region

That last pic looks beautiful! My opinion of the seasonal trees is that they make things look too a bit too redundent and unrealistic. I like to go with a combo of Cycledog's stuff and some maxis trees sprinkled in. The trees along the river banks look great though. Keep up the good work! I look forward to seeing how things turn out.
  7. Anduin Valley Revisited

Very nice!!! Its great how you take the time to show others the sloping techniques. I know it can be expensive for those that still play without cheats but proper sloping of roads, rail etc.. really adds to the realism one can achieve with the game. You have mastered the skills as well as anyone and everything looks beautiful! I slope things pretty much the same way you do but utilize the rail tool to help get the kinks out. Keep up the good work!
  8. Paradise Falls 1 created by jacqulina

Wow Jacqulina your CJ is stunning! That is some of the best terraforming I have ever seen. The detail is amazing to say the least. Everything looks so realistic and laid out perfectly. Keep up the good work and I look forward to seeing more!
  9. Three Rivers Region

Wow! Great work so far! That region is going to be awesome. I am looking forward to seeing how it develops. Keep up the good work!
  10. Nexis of Genesis

This CJ is simply stunning. Its very rich in content and imagination. The latest region views are unbelievable! A CJ can't get any more awe inspiring than this one. I look forward to seeing what comes next!
  11. Three Rivers Region

Congrats on hitting a 1,000!!! This CJ is quite deserving of such a milestone. The effort you have put forth sheds some new light on game play ~ especially for those who are trying to achieve as much realism as possible. Keep up the great work and I look forward to future updates!

OK I'll join in and start rating ohers too. Here is my first pic:
  13. Anduin Valley Revisited

Its been a long time since I have been playing. One of the first CJs I had to check out was yours. Glad I have high speed internet now. Your rural work has been astounding. As a big fan of railroads yours look very realistic and well planned. Nothing like a train passing through some rural country side. I will be looking in as always and enjoy the eye candy you always manage to serve up. I noticed a different rail texture you are using. I have searched and searched but came up empty. Can you help me out with some more info. If I can get it I may change all my rail lots to go with it. Thanks!
  14. Crazy's Collection of Cities

Very nice journal so far! The stadium district looks excellent. You have a nice blend of nature, pathways, and landscaping. Everything looks tranquil and inviting. Look forward to seeing more!
  15. SHUR Worthington Arms

    All around excellence!
  16. The Cobb Shoreline

10/10 anything less would be an injustace! I really don't understand how anyone could rate this building less than a 9 ~ its one of the best I have ever seen hit the STEX!
  17. Aureliano. Flareflakes Rush.

Excellent stuff ~ that rail sttion is ingenious! The port is very realistic and layed out! Great work in the LE. Just wondering were you scored the recreation dock. I don't think I have seen those before any way your lot making is top notch. Keep up the good work and I look forward to what you come up with next!
  18. Urland, a (mostly) rural coastline

Wow, I did not expect such a large urban city here. The downrown looks great and well proportioned. Nice variety of buildings too. Looking forward to seeing what's coming up next.!
  19. Metasmurf's region

Really like the river and canals. The detailing is outstanding and everything looks so natural and real. This is going to be a fun CJ to follow. Keep up the good work!
  20. Monorail and Elevated rail = mising link?

Yes I stated this above ~ with a little creativity you could have the crossovers occur outside of the lot though.
  21. Monorail and Elevated rail = mising link?

Actually you could make one mega lot that accomidates all forms of mass transit. Utilization of the SC4 tool makes tthings a whole lot easier these days. All the various rail lines would have to run parallel to each other though.
  22. Conflicting theories about ploppable residential?

The key to plopping res buildings is to have all of the following in the zoned space: crime: low, hospitol grade: high, commute: low, school grade: high and pollution low to medium. You must zone the land first and query it. If you don't have all these things satisfyed the building will most likely abandon. I have plopped many res buildings this way and they stay unabandoned for centuries but the peeps inside will not commute.
  23. Show us your most unique and creative transportation network!

Its been awhile since I posted in this thread so I decided to show my latest ~ a sunken rail running next to an El over road line. Hope you dig it!
  24. The Empire of Chaumont - 'Delightfully Oppressive'

I am guessing a military installation of sorts. Possibly a nuclear missle silo or complex? Looks cool regardless! Did you shop in those footprints and tiretracks? What an awesome shot!
