Thank you very much.

I feel the need to create textures related to my geographic location, and though for my use, it would be best to obtain a proper range. When you have time I would appreciate a personal range, thank you....Shoreman

There is a brief description of rewards here https://www.simtropolis.com/forum/messageview.cfm?catid=147&threadid=83283&enterthread=y, but I am not sure it will satisfy your needs. There is an in depth article on rewards by Ripplejet, but at the moment I can not locate it for you. If I find it, I will post it here.

Each city would have to include the plugins of the creator. As no two of us have the same lots and props, I see an impossible management situation.

Agreed, no advertisement, this is for the good of the community. It just makes more sense to contain the relevant information in one place, if it seemed to anyone that I was advertising, my apologies. I wanted to inform fellow SC4 players that something new existed. My excitement over CAM, I hope can be understood. There is no competition here, this is a friendly announcement. Please excuse my exuberance!!!

Torment is not the idea. Space to explain is the problem. CAM has been developed over time and all the machinations have been discussed at SC4D. We will try and answer your questions, but, much time and bandwidth would be conserved if you would kindly refer to the project in it's home station. The invitation has been issued, all are welcomed, we want all to enter the world of higher stages and greater goals.
-
The reason Ripplejet released the manual here is because CAM may not be for everyone. It is complex and commands an understanding of the game at it's most challenging level. You should read how it works and what it can achieve before you download and use. Bluebeard is correct in advising a visit to SC4Devotion and reading the thread concerning CAM. CAM will change how you play the game and what goals you set for yourself and your game. Help is always available. If you want to go to a higher level, then consider CAM, but buckle up, its a ride.

Get this game changing mod and have all your questions anwered over at SC4Devotion. This mod will take your game to a new level. The mod, help and all the lots required are up and accessable. Take it up.

For those with dual-core AMDs (Unexpected crash)
Shoreman905 replied to illuminatedeye's topic in SC4 Bugs & Technical Issues
Since I started using DatPacker, I have almost forgotten zoom crashes. As Tungston pointed out, there is a lot of additional data to handle in a zoom. DatPacker hands SC4 fewer files to deal with, but the same content is available. -
Brena XNE modern monorail station.

A question Masochist, if I might. What rock and water mods do you use. I can't remember a red like that, interesting look.

2 issues I would like help with..
Shoreman905 replied to Ace_F15's topic in SC4 Bugs & Technical Issues
By your statement, it seems that you put EP.1 in your plugins, and not your Maxis plugin directory, if you tried to use the datpacker on it. Move the update to your program files, Maxis. As for the non-Maxis files, use Cleanitol to check your plugins. Cleanitol is available at SC4D on the LEX. -
Peg has been working on a "Skyfarm" project recently. I believe it is in testing now. Check his site.

The situation with crime is due to the size of the lot. Any lot larger than 8x8 is hard coded to attract crime. N_O_Body pointed you to the right mod to level crime out. I use it but still notice some crime around large lots, when using the maps, but not to the level prior to the mod introduction. Give that a try, and save your simolians for something other than police stations, Follow his link.

Indeed you can zone industrial. Select the type of Ind. ( C for high density, X for medium) you want, then drag your curser while holding the Ctrl key down. Remember to release your curser before you let go of the Ctrl key, or no zone direction. If the arrows go a way you do not want, press V and dezone, redo the zone and press both Ctrl and Alt, that will reorient the zone. Always read the size in the lot file, ie: 4x3 mean 4 wide, 3 deep. But a little warning, just because you zone, say 6x6, doesn't mean it may not split to 3x3, thats the box of chocolates syndrome.

The lots here (and elsewhere) are zipped. Have you unzipped them before placing them in your plugin folder? Even with standard SC4, you must unzip (ok, guys no jokes here).

At the moment I can not think of an industry in RL that does't use water, most need great quanities. Tungston is right, they need water, and you have to deal with the pollution.

Dalai Llama has it down. Water, power, transportation, SC4 makes you realise just how complicatied running a municipality is. It takes all those departments to make even a small city work. I think it is one of the gems of this game, Certainly they could have written it so you didn't even think of water or power, fire police, just build buildings, but that isn't close to life or the premise of this game. Long live SC4.

Ok, thats proof, Question: how is your transportation, what do you use?
