just some classics here, but with a major difference, for a long time i've always wanted to develop these regions and with this mod, its now possible. now a 4x4 large tile region, in my opinon, much more playable than before now a 16x16 region, the increase of size, actually makes it easier to appreciate the terraforming in the region, quite impressive in retrospect. this tile for instance covers 8 times more than the original maxisland (in mayor mode) i pulled this one off using the sc4terraformer and some new config files

sorry to heap on another request, but i'm just itching to ask, https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//road%20types.JPG align=baseline> [edit:anyone know why the pic randomly changes?] okay, this pic is old, ignoring number three, and 4, could it be possible to make a boulevard like number 1, but with a turning lane in the center by laying 2 parallel one way roads next to eachother?, and for number 2, could the roads be modded so that a turning lane [eye candy] is used only around certain densities? ei, high density zones

yea, i dont mean to annoy anybody either, but if anyone is willing to go thorugh on this, i will gladly help out in any way i can. just some ideas though, would definetly love to see those right turn lanes though

heres another idea, https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//intersection.jpg align=baseline> it would look so badass, maybe it can be done? the right turn bypass lanes can be made dby dragging a one way road in the direction shown in the red box. the cross walks would definitely look best where the white lines are drawn, and the borken white lines are where they cross walk could be, but i'm not sure if the game would accept it. any questions just ask me, i'll gladly explain. i'd love to see left turn lanes, but i know that they arent easy to make. i'll help out with this in any way, if possible. tell me what you think.

heres an idea i have https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//new%20roads.JPG align=baseline> theres 2 different styles of turning lanes on the left, the one on the top, doesnt fill in any more space, it just squeezes into place, the one on the bottom, makes more room for the additional lane. i like the one on top On the right, is my idea of what an avenue should look like, except it only takes up one tile, i think it would look nice in the game. i photoshopped it half ass, but you get the point, if the 4 lane road were possible, i dont think it should have sidewalks, i mean, it can have pedestrian traffic and all, but no sidewalks, besides that it would line up nice in a buisiness district, with those parking lots and everything. perhaps this can be used on the ANT network? if anyone wants to try to make this possible, i'll pitch in with the textures. on a side note, even if this is only possible in orthogonal angles, it would still be an awesome addition. what do you think?

So I'm not an artist, just some thought i've had for awhile now, i'm not even sure if this is the right thread but here goes. what i would like to see developed is a simple (1)basic 4 lane road, that fits on one tile [not an avenue] (2) 2 lane road with a suicide lane in the middle, i know it would be point less, but it would be a nice asthetic touch (3) left turning lanes for 2 lane roads, who hasnt see one of these? (4) my favorite for some reason, the ground highway, its great, but i can't stand the retaining walls on it, is there anyway to get rid of them? i would like to see them fill up those 2 tiles they occupy. its had to make a convincing below grade highway when theres a grassy shoulder, it could just be a texture mod, and i dont mind if its only on orthagonal sections w/out an interchange. also, is there a way to move the lights to the center? and replace them with the lamps from the avenue as well? i think thats all i got for now.. maybe i'll whine later.. telll me what you think. laters [edit: perhaps this project is more practical if the roads are made as orthogonal puzzle pieces? just wondering] o i'm not quite done, the stop lights over the 2 lane roads, is there anyway to make them look like the ones that are hung by the telephone lines? maybe it could be made as a wealth object like in a poor neighborhood, because i see alot of lights like this by where i live [picture courtesy of http://www.roadfan.com/us33rr.jpg ] pretty much something like that except w/out the turn signals, or maybe they can be there. ok now laters peace

personally i dont care about the paths, i just want a suicide lane on my median, if not that then at least put turning islands in the middle. but ya, i could do without the path rules, i just want my avenues to look bigger

i have to ask... when is the NAM going to be updated? theres alot of cool stuff i'm dying to get ahold of.

f###ing awesome, i think it looks very futuristic, keep up the good work, a couple more months and we'll have a future tileset. i wish i could see the 2050 tileset from sc2k on sc4, o well, someday......
