The City Sim You've Never Heard Of...

While it's ridiculously difficult to find information on this city sim, there are a few things for certain. This city simulator has been recently developed in China and focuses mostly on transit infrastructure and "creative transit networks/layouts" (which by the way, handle UDI) to quote a source regarding this mysterious game. The game does have a title, simply going by "A9" or "A Train 9"(although the game is not based around trains, you still build cities), which does not make finding information on it any easier. So on that note, if anyone knows anything else about this game, comment here!

Meanwhile though, you can view these other few vids:

I've heard of this game before Its kind of fun to play ,but you need to keep a close eye on your money even though they give you 800,000,000 to 1,000,000,000 dollars. There are videos of it on youtube just type in A-train 8 or A-train 9. I'm looking for the A-train 9 demo I'll let you guys know if I find something.

A - Train is not a SimCity. It is very much like it in that your population centers grow along to what you do and build, but it's more like Cities in Motion. If any of you want to know exactly what the game is about, here is a review of A-Train 3 in Japan (A-Train in US) which was published by Maxis.

I don't read character nor understand Mandarin, so the site isn't much use to me. However, many are called but few are chosen.

LOL - that youtube clip/review right above is from A-Train in 1992 or whenever. I think even in DOS version. I think it's safe to say it's irrelevant.

A-Train 9 looks pretty badass. Although I am sure it is pretty different from SC in alot of ways.

Good stuff here! I played A Train a LONG time ago, before I really knew how to do city building games. Its so easy to go bankrupt, so I never really got into it. I didn't think it was still out there!

The scaling doesn't seem quite right, the transport networks are too big compared to the building (In one video a train was the same size as 3 floors of a building) and the farms are ridiculously small compared to everything else, but barring that it looks pretty good.

Actually I have played A-Train 8. I didn't know 9 was out. I found it out when I was looking for a railway simulator a few years back.

I tried out the A-train 9 viewer, and if people are looking for a city builder, this is not it. I'm sure its a fantastic train simulator, but nothing more than that. The cities are void of any life, I didn't see any people walking around, no cars, etc. The only things actually moving were the trains and some trucks. It all looked nice, no doubt about that, but it isn't a city builder.
