If you don't know me yet from work with the SimMars project, you'll get to know me pretty soon. Let's start with my terrain mod - the Terraform 1000 package. This should be ready to download by the end of the month.

Both have their benefits and weaknesses but I recommend CXL for those with great computers who want a next generation city builder with wonderful graphics and recommend SC4 for those who care about the simulation and economic realism who are fine with grids and older graphics.

I had this with plugins crashing when the SC4models clashed. Dont know how it does it with stock content tho.

If you look closely at the coal power station, you will see a white band going across the base of the taller smokestacks. EDIT: The picture Woshual posted might be clearer Why that is could be one of several reasons: 1. It may be some graphical artifact from zooming in / moving around too much, in which case it will disappear soon. 2. There may be some issue with your video card driver. What is your video card, and what is your driver version? 3. The game may not have been installed correctly. Try reinstalling if all else fails. You said in your original post "And, with just such a zoom lens." I am not too sure what this means. Does this mean you only see this issue at this zoom level, and if you zoom in or out, the issue disappears?

Hi Woshul I think you are talking about the white band on the side of the street? This is the sidewalk that shows up on streets, roads, rails, avenues, etc, when a building or zone is place next to the street or road. The sidewalk will change it's appearance depending on the wealth value of the building that has been plopped or grown. Hope this helps you.

I see no band here. All buildings must be inside an exact rectangle of grid elements. They cannot bleed to the edge, and so may be a little smaller than the lot, which then is filled with a base texture.

Jack_wilds- Thank you, I just think it may need a little tweeking. Jasoncw- Thank you, I hope you like the texture now, I just could not get it like those hotels, but may need to try a little more. Valsky- Thank you so much my ally. Graham Apartments Here it go again, I have fix the color on the brick and the stone the best I can, I hope you guys still like it.

Far more stylish and tasteful than my recent foray into non-SC4 matters.

Screenshots might be helpful in this case. I don't know why you need to rotate anything in the first place, though. Just model (or re-model) it how you would like it rather than trying to recycle geometry in a way that is obviously not performing how you'd like. That may seem like more work, but it will probably end up saving you time in effort in the long run since you can get off the BAT threads and go back to modeling.

yeah it looks fine, glad to see it on the STEX. The parking lot details take the cake. Someone needs to make Mayor Mode ploppable runaway shopping buggies, so I can scatter some in my creeks, bus stops, and ghetto housing complexes near your Target and Walmart BATs, haha.

Here's another one of mine in an industrial center. It was formerly two avenues, two OWRs, and a whole mess of FLUPs before I upgraded the bridge to an elevated highway. Not a single tile spared for industry!

I'm building a highway around the future citycentre and built an exit into the turn: (yes my english is bad)

Hello all, SimMars has been pretty quiet for the last months, but there are now several things coming up: We will start releasing small downloads in the near future, BATs that didnt make it into the Beta release, a terrain mod and possibly more maps. Also, we have a test build for Steam support for which we are looking for users who can help us with the testing. Did you know that SimMars has a Facebook page? With the new Simtropolis verision 7 a lot of the site has been re-organized and simplified. The former two SimMars forums have been merged into one, the SimMars Project Room, which can now be found in the forum category "BAT - Open Discussion". To de-clutter the forum several threads have been merged: - The BAT & Lot Guidelines have been added into the BAT Workshop (into the first posts) - SimMars Introduction and Concept are now merged into one thread - Open Disucssion & Overall Progress are now merged into one thread Stay tuned! 1. If you want to make castles, thers the Sim Medieval Team. They haven't been that active lately due to a lack of members and real life and such but you could change that 2. That sim Medival thread would be the place, just try and make a caslte post a picture of it in that thread and the BATers that browse the forums will see it when you do and give advice. Thanks! The team looks like they've done a lot of cool things. I'd love to work with them!

Hello to all in Simtropolis. My name is Camilo and I'm 27 years old. I live in Santiago de Chile. After finish a degree in chemistry I'm now starting my own bussiness in the manufacture and sale of "green" (or friendly enviroment) household cleaners. Since my childhood I'm interested in town planning even to the point to drawing city maps in every sheet paper that fell in my hands. From now on I will be available to a more actively participate in Simtropolis especially in the BAT forums and not only downloading stuffs from STEX. That's all for now, goodbye and thanks to all the BATers for make SimCity more beautiful and realistic. Amatoroj

Hello! I've been here for two months now and I haven't been able to properly introduce myself! Not a very good display, and I apologize. So here I go, without further ado... My name is Michael, I'm 24 years old, and I live in Manila here in the Philippines. Not exactly the place for architectural marvel, which is probably why I love building and creating. I love finding inspiration from various local and foreign sources, and someday hope to make a difference here, where I am. My favorite Simtropolis things: 1. STEX - Gotta love the creations here! My current favorites are from Equinox, Glenni, Jeronij, SimGoober, Bixel, DustTrooper, Odainsaker, Cobb and Pegasus. 2. Tutorials - I found out how to make efficient cities, networks and BATs from this site. 3. Member demonstrations - I love the beauty and strategy some of the city layouts exude. My intended contributions: 1. Castles! I love castles. 2. Modern houses! Things I'd like to know more of: 1. How to join/form teams. I am interested in buildings and castles, ad I'd like to join a team with people who share my interests. 2. Where to call for BAT expert help. So, that's it for the meantime Thank you all very much!

Howdy! I'm Jack, I've been playing SC4 ever since deluxe edition came out, I've had an on/off relationship with the game so I have really only played the game from: 2004-2006, 2008-2009, and 2010-present. I study Architecture with a focus on research of Historical Architecture and Urban Planning; So naturally SC4 is my game. When I'm not wasting countless hours fixing my cities, I'm writing a CJ, reading, designing, researching, or drawing cartoons for my web comic... if I'm not doing any of those call an ambulance... At first I hated custom content, but now I realize how cool it really is. Random useless fact about me: I wish I was Estonian...
