***CJ Closed***

This CJ is now closed.... sorry everyone, but i didnt like how the city was turning out. I was growing the city waaay to fast, all my cities had perfect education and health systems, and some other minor reasons, lead me to start a new one. So Vancouver, Natrual Growth is now online. It seams that with every new city built, it is better then the privious one. So hopfully that is true. ...

(side note... this update earns the award for... Worst Update name EVA!!!!!!!!) Turbin road is a small street which collects the two very close towns of Secrest and Littleton. Traffic on the street has increased signifintlyover the past few weeks due to rapid development in Turlbin Bay. The street, therefore must be upgraded to a road to handel all of it. Due to the fact that this upgrade requiers no additional room, the road will only be paved over. How does this help? The road will be widened so the...

Healthcare Workers Walk

A problem has arisen in Everglade a lack of city funds has caused a huge cut in funding for city clinics, schools, and other civic buildings. The largest cut in funding was at the Broadveiw Medical Clinic. So much so that the workers there are on strike. This has occored in a poorer area of the city, which dosnt help them much. Something has to be done. City Hall is currently brainstorming solutions for this. One of the ideas is to slow down (not completly shut down) work on the numerouse Everglade...

(typo... its Charleston) The next railway stop on the way to CSGdesigns Boston is in the Small town of Harstel. Harstell alone is not large enough for a rail line, but the line is going this direction, so a stop is going to be buit anyway. The stop was going to be built on the edge of the town. Some of the nerby farm fields where leveled down to prepare for the station. After the station was built the main base grade for the rail was leveled even more to prepare for the tracks to be layed. The track built...

As Everglade grows, more and more power is needed. With more power plants comes more and more pollution. So instead of building more polluting plants, why not just build cleaner plants for a cheaper cost? ...So, that was planned. An old farm near the Reaserch District (high-tech industry) was bought. The old field was plowed over and then leveled to provide a good base for the plant. The first half of the plant was built and was already in operation. A bit later the second half was completed. Soon the rest...

Making The Reigion Bigger

As you can see, Everglade is located pretty close to the edge of the reigion because of the natural features of the reigion. When it grows bigger it will reach the edge of it. So I decided that more room is needed. First, I open the reigions config, (while of corse making a back-up) Then to see it better, I zoom in. I Expand the bottom side of the config by a width of a square. ...and color it in. And the final product..... The old reigion... The new city tiles... And after terraforming!!! It still needs...

Marina Mania

Central Everglade is growing even more. Along with that comes more wealthy residents. And rich people want alot of nice stuff. And the people who build that nice stuff are other rich people who want it. Mr. Salvidore Comraste' (who lives in the large red Victorian mansion seen below.) Wanted to be able to park his yaut at an easily accesible dock. Instead of parked out in the bay having to use a little moterboat to drive all the way to shore. He figured that the best place to build it would be a bit North...

Mt. Hogan Ski Resort is a large... Ski Resort... within the Everglade Reigion. It is not exessable by Everglade citezens even though it lies within the region. It, instead relies on tourists from Portland (Maines Capitol) which lies not to far away to the North West. Here yo can see the Pipeline Bowl which has some (verey hard) black dimond runs. This area of the resort is ONLY acsessible by walking there. In otherwords.... No lift... Here you can see a Map of Mt. Hogan. "scroll right to see it all">>>>>...

The largest project for the Boston-Everglade Railroad is the Charleston Inlet Bridge. It will be more expensive then the entire Phase 1 rail project rail. On the south side of the inlet, this area will be the cheapest to construct. This is the plan for the bridge. It is currently going through the City Hall Concilliers for a permit. The Current road their will have to be redirected in order to comform with the grade of the rail. The North Side of the inlet is going to be VERY Expensive. The bridge needs to...

Yesterday a plan was drafted by E.T.A. (Everglade Transit Authority) It shows all the rail to be built in Everglade over the next 5 years. Some of the areas rail is planned to go does not need a rail line yet, but once it is time to build it, it will need it. So... the map is counfusing to understand, ill try and explain. RED: Phase 1 Solid line-currently built rail Dotted line-Under construction GREEN: Phase 2 Solid Line-planned route Dotted...

A recent proposal has been made. It is a rail line from Boston, (CSGdesigns Boston) to Everglade. The plan is (at the moment) for the outskirts of the cities through the rural areas inbeetween, a single track rail. And so there can be more trains running, in some of the towns along the route the track goes to a double track, so a train can be stopped at a station waiting for the track to be clear. The single track will in-turn cut costs and when a doulble track is needed, a second one can be built right...

Carvey Bridge

Carvey Bridge is getting old, and is in need of an upgrade. The bridge has over 400 cars traveling over it. This is alot of traffic for a simple street, so a road upgrade is neccesary. A site was chosen a bit further up the river, you can see a small bit of the Carvey Biridge in the bottom right corner. Some more buldozing and terraforming... The ribbion cutting cerimony was held shortly after it was built, HORAY!!! Now 600 vehicles travle over the new bridge now, thats more then last time. Its because now...

BOOM! Goes the Dynamite

The train slowly pulls out of the freight station in the Everglade Wherehouse district..... It is carrying 5 tons of dynamite... Dynamite... needed for the Anterage mine..... The train must travel slowly through the winding tracks to the Anterage Mine.... It passes the small town of Anterage, the small town that the mine company was named after, this town is expected to grow exponentialy after the mine is up and running... Further and further into the forest, the mine is very far away.... Finaly, the dirt...

*Rebuilding Everglade*

Welcome faiIthful readers, I have not updated in a bit because Everglade was lost. I recently bought a new computer and transfered the city and plugins over, but no matter what I did the game always ended up crashing. And becaues this was the cause for EVERY other one of my city journals closing, I did'nt want to settle for that. So I completly rebuilt Everglade. Some major things are in the generaly same place, but by using the natrual growth method, I could'nt rebuild it like it was before, but whatever....

"Green" Meddelers Put the Clamp on Water Pump The quiet little town of Opium. Somthings wrong here, let's take a closer look... hmmm...... lets look "under" the surface... There we go!! No water! But why?!? Well, its simple realy. The water tower that was built in Opium some years ago, is polluted. The fertilizer that farmer recently started using on their crops is polluting the water supply. Sure, people dont mind a little aspestes in their water supply, but the "Green" comunnity does mind, in fact, they...

A New Park Comes to Everglade So, first off, the vote came out unaminous! The Bonnie Bridge was deemed historicle! A small park was built on both ends of it and it was made into a pedastrian bridge. And as ixnayonthetimmay said, "The healthy crowd walking to the Farmer's Market will appreciate the rustic throwback from the olden days to get them in the fresh food spirit!" ixnayonthetimmay, I could'nt have said it better myself! Another bridge was also built in Everglade, just a little bit further up the...

(Re) Bridging Everglade Island Bonnie Bridge is the oldest bridge in Everglade. Built almost when the region was first settaled as a means for workers to get to their farms, you could probably guess that it is VERY worn out. Bonnie bridge had its wood paved over with asfault when it was neccesary, but now the bridge is too old to continue service. So it must be replaced. The (crudly) drawn plans are where the new bridge will go. Bonnie bridge must stay up during the construction of the new bridge, in order...

A New Hall for a Growing City The town of Everglade almost is'nt a town any more. It already encompasess almost the entire Everglade island, and the goverment is in need of a proper facility. Alot has been built since you last saw Everglade(a few hours ago) And all these things are the reason that Everglade needs to be govened. First i'll be courteis enough to give you a tour of whats been built in Everglade. Then... on to the City hall construction!!! First of which is the Everglade Ferry Terminal. The...

M.C. Donold Wants a New Farm M.C. Donold (said by saying the letters of M.C, like M.C. Escher) owns a small dirt farm on the edge of the Justo River. He recently inherited alot of money, so he didnt want a small farm any more.... he wants a big one! M.C.Donold spoted this a peice of land behind his farm a long time ago. He decided that THAT would be the location of his expanded farm... the small Justo Swamp. However, the Justo swamp would be hard to build on, due to it being a swamp. Somthing had to be...

Everglade Island... Everglade, a small farming community in Maine, currently isolated from the outside world. In order to grow, Everglade needs to be connected with it. The town of Everglade is a quiet place. Consisting of only 87 current residents. Everglade is a town were everybody knows eachother Some people in Everglade wanted it to grow.... become...... a metropolis! However, the first step to becoming a big city is to be connected with other cities. Currently, Everglade is a lone city on a desolate...

Beautiful Everglade! A growing town in Maine, however not Maine as you know it. Everything else in the world is the same, epcept Maine is a state with lusher pastures, greener forests, and taller mountains! Main is a State rich in gold! as well as in beauty! *side note: This is going to be like baltimore,(as well as CSGdesigns "Boston") using the natural growth concept. I had to scrap Baltimore because the cities no longer loaded. Now, ive got Sim City back up and running! So everybody can enjoy THIS...
