A New Park Comes to Everglade

Everglade-Apr211541264128675.png

So, first off, the vote came out unaminous! The Bonnie Bridge was deemed historicle!

A small park was built on both ends of it and it was made into a pedastrian bridge.

And as ixnayonthetimmay said,

"The healthy crowd walking to the Farmer's Market will appreciate the rustic throwback from the olden days to get them in the fresh food spirit!"

ixnayonthetimmay, I could'nt have said it better myself!44.gif

Another bridge was also built in Everglade, just a little bit further up the river from the Bonnie and Clauid bridges.

The "Warehouse District" bridge is still holding up also, with over 2,000 cars and 30 busses passing over it each day.

(This is according to the game)

Another bridge that was is built is now the longest bridge in Everglade. Named simply, the Everglade Island bridge.

...some pleasant homes on a small peninsular in the city.

Two major buildings were recently built in Everglade also. The Hickoryton Orphinarium to provide homes to neglected and homeless kids,

and also the Everglade Travel Agency. This building is the headquarters for the Ferry service, and is also planning the to-be rail system in Everglade.

This area is the newest-built naborhood in Everglade. Somthing you may notice is the large park. This is part of the Juston River Recreational Project. It consists of building parks on varing parts of the river to provide relaxation, and also a better enviorment.

Here we see some of the most expensive housing in Everglade. This area is appeling to wealthier people because of the exess of parks and also the bays waves crashing against the rocks.

Now, for the "real" update.

(I like to put in a bunch of other pictures to show the progress in Everglade as well as to provide more pices in each update for everyone9.gif)

Everglade is a growing city, and with a growing city come pollution and destruction. Which is why cities need to build parks, to compensate for the land lost to progress.(And also to make people happy9.gif)

Which is why the city is planning a new park, but first, the land must be bought.

Everglade-Apr241541264128701.png

This is the planned area for the park, Mr. Harry's Farm. It is a farm which for some reason, was not purchased by developers. And since it is close to the "downtown" was decided to be made into a park by the city.

It was purchased from Mr. Harry (who made a hefty profit for it2.gif)

So first, the trees apples were plucked one last time, and then taken away to be made into furnaiture, and the land was leveled off.

Then Mr. Harry's old greenhouse was torn down. The glass from it was bought from a small glass blowing company, to be made into beautiful vasses and pots.

And finnaly, the park was built. Trees were moved in and the grass layed down. A small ditch was also dug out and made into a peaceful little pond. And a baseball field was built to provide recreational activities for the local children.

Thats all for today!!

Untill next time!!

The parks in Everglade are a great addition, glad to see them build!
But as a weary citizen of this fair city, I hope that they don't strand the budget too much and thus cost us increase in taxes...

Nice parks!
I guess that by using the natural growth technique you have a lot of profit margin to build this parks...

spinecharmer: me too!

Asprin4o & Maravone: There are "technicly" only about 3-4 parks in Everglade, the other ones are just grass that was planted on the coast, and is not maintained by the city, so it is not "technecly" a park. And the budget of the city is'nt going to fall that much, so no worries about taxes.
