A region map, for your convienence

aydina_2011_01_23_map.png_thumb.jpg

And cuz its about time, AyDOT has a logo now!

So first off, we're starting in Wilmington. Yeah, we just drove from Sand Run all the way here on the Capital Beltway and the Trans-Aydinian Turnpike without pics or anything, but, its my CJ and I can do what I like thank you 3.gif

The Wilmington Service Plaza along the Turnpike

As we drive another 30 tycae or so on h27.png (note: 1 tyca > 1 mile, but 1 TaPH < 1 MPH. Don't ask how, its just like that), we arrive at Interchange 84 with h64.png at Aoiya Lake.

We take the exit and after paying our toll, we drive through the lakefront area of Aoiya Lake

We'll come back to the turnpike, but for now, we're gonna follow h64.png a bit more.

As we exit the town, we're greeted by this sight

As we cross the tunnel...

We return to the turnpike, heading east... and look! Its the East Gate welcome plaza!

Oh, that's alright I fell asleep on the trip over here, probably why there's no pics :P (not my fault you drove too fast!)

As I said in chat here's a redundant statement
Verrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrry Nice! :D

Great! I remember you posting some of the pictures in chat before you'd added eye candy, and I'm still amazed! The rest stops are great, and so is the tollway double-trumpet.

You know, you're kinda violating physics while saying that  1 tyca > 1 mile, but 1 TaPH < 1 MPH, as velocity = distance / time.  For example, let's assume that you are driving 150 tycas for two hours and also 100 miles for two hours.

150 tycas > 100 miles
150 tycas / 2 hour = 75 TaPH
100 miles / 2 hour = 50 MPH
75 TaPH > 50 MPH

Otherwise, a great update, your roadgeekery-"skills" (idk how to put it :D) are magnificent and your cities are also very well done!

Love the 7th pic also.  How did you get a bridge over non-water like that?

Also, i looked at the the first one for a while; really made me think about my own ideas.

Geeze... I swear I need to do replies more here. These replies to the comments are getting long!

plane-crash12000: Thanks!

jetty jockey: Thanks! In the past I've done more extensive planning, but for Aydina, I only have a general idea. So the map comes after I build the highway. Seems to work better that way. And I will!

iowndiscti: Thanks! Somewhere around... oh... $450,000? I need an Aydinian currency...

tekindust: Heh I do intend to go into civil engineering, especially in the area of highways, so, maybe in the future

reikhardt: Thanks!

dafiden: Thanks! Depending on your slope mod (or lack thereof) the game will draw a bridge when the terrain is steep enough. In my case, the area had a little depression already that I simply filled with water using the Teriusu (sp?) God Mode Tools, drew the bridge over, and reloaded the city. And good! Part of my intention for CJing is to inspire others to do their own great creations Good luck on what you're gonna try!

naz_arch: Triple thanks!

avrelivs: Thanks! Seems to be the popular one

elfloyd: Thanks! Seems like everything in this CJ is green... the flag, the landscape, and the banners too. Was that intentional? Maybe...

ciuu96: Oh boy, I thought someone was gonna bring that up As I did note, it doesn't make sense (science (mainly physics) and math are my strong points, but paying attention obviously isn't ), and I'm too far in that I'm not gonna change it, so it'll be a little quirk. And thanks!

samerton: Yeah, I do a little chat preview while I write the update, so, chat gets little sneak peeks and stuff that I don't show in CJ updates... I should do a bonus update....
Thanks!

Damastius: I love this too!  Thanks!

simmytu: Thanks!

frdm902: Final comment, finally!  And I don't blame you, its all rather empty... just trees... and spotty development here and there. And I do drive fast, after all, most of the speed limit signs read:

Thanks! Thanks!
