One can try to leave Blackwater through many ways, most of the ones who do it is thanks to an scholarship. But there are some who try through other means.
One more afternoon, violent gangs meet in an alleyway to protect their "territory". A very few times, some of this youngsters think a bit and decide to leave their gangs and find a job somewhere. Some others, keep punching in other places...
The "Iron Punch Gymnasium" (formerly known as Blackwater Sports Center) is the place. Originally founded in the 70s as a community sports center, it was abandoned two years later; until a retired boxer decided to open up the center again, now as a boxing gym. In this place, boys that demonstrate whose parents can't afford the monthly fee can train their boxing for free. It is a good way to pick up some of them from the alleyways.
Nowadays, the original sports center parking lot is used as a community parking lot, very useful for the nearby residents.
Sometimes, one of this boys becomes a semi-professional boxer and is able to enter in some of the local contests; usually hold in the Blackwater Sports Hall. Seven national champions have been raised in Blackwater, making this city and the gym the "Mecca of Boxing" in the nation.
