I really like the atmosphere of the island! The red building in the second image looks like it would fit in great in my cities. Do you have a link for that?

If you like grid, then this isn't for you, but when you have a grid and you destroy a cross in that system, so you get one big square instead of 4 little ones, you can make a windy road in that place to 'break' the view. Just an idea for roads around the shoreline.
