Hello Everyone! Welcome back to the tour. Today we'll be taking a look at the city tile that is home to what is still my favorite natural area I've created, Sunnyville Kayak Club. Running through Sun Valley is the Sun Brick River, Sunnyville is located in the middle of the river. You can see in the below district pic that the valley, probably home to a glacier at some point due to it's shape, has a river that runs through it that starts at an underground source, in the tile just north. The source of this river is actually the giant lake that was created when a dam was built(this will all be seen in a future entry).

Let's start as usual with a look at some development

01 - Pre growth

04 - Same area as the pre growth where you can now see two circles along the main road

05 - Upstream

06 - The street down to the river to get to the Kayak Club. Used the RHW slope Mod and slowly and painfully raised lowered sloped bulldozed raise again slope bulldoze...you get it All of it is on a slope including the cut backs and there you have what it takes to get a smooth road up a cliff that steep in that short an amount of tiles/space

12 - It is the location of the "Town Center", the road to the left leads down to the Ridgeview Road intersection you saw earlier

13 - Rotated you can see a little more of this area Main Street

14 - Between Main Street and the cliff most of the residents call home.

This brings an end to this entry but we will continue our tour of Sunnyville in the next, I have a "few" more pics including along the highway some industry and the logging school. I might throw in pics of the two small city tiles north of Sunnyville, we'll see what kind of time I have, in the last weeks of a two year building project in RL (Real Life)

About picture 19, probably took close to 3h to complete, though the idea came to me as I was looking at the area as I was working on plopping the mmp river it was planned out. Planned mentally not on paper, knowing the size of the lots I terraformed the area, after all you don't get the rocky cliff face and slight slope in the street just by plopping. Lots placed and then mmps in a specific order for them to be able to placed closely next to each other. As always not editing of my pics other than small bit of cropping the size(you can still see a part of the menu in the bottom left corner lol)

I hope you enjoyed our opening look at this city tile and hope you come back for the next one. As always questions and comments are gladly taken and likes are appreciated.

Hey, one question: how do you make those curves (and if you know how to do those, maybe even FARs) have legit sidewalks? if you know how to do it (if it's a trick with dragging them a weird way, could you find or make a tutorial?)

Also, fantastic mmp work, dude. Where'd you get that open shed in picture 19?

Fantastic entry Phil . I see some weeds along the shoreline :thumb: looking good . Nice mix of buildings and well laid out . 5/5 . The highway tunnel , roundabouts and the switchback going to the kayak club give a nice touch . Those kind of details are what keeps me wanting to see more  .

Another fantastically detailed entry!  I especially like pictures 7, 8 and 19.  The Kayak Club is a great idea and really adds character to the city.

Great work on the Kayak Club, it's clear to see that you spent a lot of time on it trying to get things to look realistic which they do. I also like that winding street down the side of the cliff which by the way is scary high, I'm guessing 500ft or so. Thank god you have those guard rails in place in select spots to prevent cars from flying off the road.

@BugeyedDragon Thanks, I think the boat sheds are made by either Paeng or Murimk and should be in the PLEX.  As far as playing around with the NAM really just takes some testing in a sandbox or blank flat map, then try out what can be done but for some help best thing to do is to turn to a NAM team member and their helpful youtube videos :D   Start Here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t-cgj2pN8os

@raynev1 Thank you buddy, your welcome back every time

@Prophet42 Thank you, I try to add at least one area to every tile, some come out a little better than the others

@kschmidt Thank you, yes I agree that park set is very nice but needs a few more pieces to work with

@takemethere Thanks, not quite sure how high but I know it's up there, I didn't add them to the street going down to the club just at the road but I figure if you're adventurous enough to go kayaking well... that street just adds to the ..uhh... fun.

Looks like 4x4 is a must-have when driving along that switchback road to the Kayak club.

@DavidDHetzel I'm sorry I couldn't find the link, I know it is a VIP team creation but can't remember which creator from the team and on which site I think it was on this site but maybe Toutsims is easier to find on.

@airman15 yes 4x4 or highend cars like the white one with all the fancy computers for controlling things for you, and that van is a beast, it carries the kayaks and people back from down river so it makes the climb and decent a couple of times a day with cargo, wish I knew what brand it was.

Sorry I'm in a bit late -- been busy in Wilhelmshaven.

Liked #6, #7, and #9.  Very nice landscape formation and tree planting.

Glad to see someone using the old style elevated highway (besides me) !!

@Dreadnought Thanks , no problem I've been super busy in Real Life lately so my CJ output is slowing down, I always gladly take a compliment no matter how late.

I knew you would like that cliff face, not trying to brag or anything but I think I nailed it considering the rock mod I'm using every few feet need to be shifted in height, glad someone out there has the eye for it, don't think many notice the work but as I was posting it I said to myself Dreadnought will appreciate it. Thank you

@GEyes91 Yes it is, at higher levels it becomes patchy looking.
